Wow, thanks Thriftlady, that looks amazing! I might have to try that for tea with mine! I never thought to bake broccoli before, but it sounds divine!
It's funny, before I read this thread I felt full up from the pasta I just had for lunch... now I'm hungry again and drooling, Homer Simpson-style :rotfl:0 -
Hi guys,
It's a beautiful day here today! We have been to the market and fair play they were all well behaved today and so earned a magazine each and a quick stop at the sweets stallWell it's a rare enough treat for them and besides they happend to have a lovely selection of Thornton's misshapes that just caught my eye;)
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I took the photos in and died on the spot when they quoted £56 to blow them up, I must have made a fairly good recovery though before I squeaked out 'ok', either that or she wasn't looking when I turned white and grabbed on to the counter for support with a dramatic gasp!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I spent less buying 6 pairs of shoes and trainers at the next stop.Bad mummy is now banished until I spot the next lot of holes in these!
The garden is calling on such a nice day but I doubt I would get far as one or more of the kids would end up back in the house causing mayhem. (LO doesn't like helping mummy in the garden.) The last time I tried it a load of milk ended up on the carpet whilst WW3 commenced! sigh!! Hopefully it will be as nice on Monday and I can get stuck in then.
So, I have a shop coming later and I am looking at the ironing. Will also potter around the kids hoovering etc. and leave this evening free for the hall carpet. (Finally!! I hear you all say!)
Sunnygirl, I am glad to hear your dad is improving. xxx
Icecubequeen, :hello:
PTT, awh, thanks but I am ony muddling through doing my best. Honest.
DG, You are right. As to the feeling young - I wish!! 45 soon but feeling at least 10 yrs older. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (roll on school!!)
Beth, wlecome back :T :T :T
Gentle hugs to all in need today and enjoy the sunshine.

The ironing that was hiding in the airing cupboard is done!!! so now I can change the bed tomorrow..........its the week for it to get hoovered, the mattress that is..........I make a point of not emptying the dyson before I do it so ai cannot see just how much muck comes out of the mattress..........
Collected OH's scrips, he has been ok (so far) today..........
We got an electricity bill this morning I mearly died £88......boy I was on the web to find a cheaper deal.....tried to sign up and the b*****sigte keppt saying it did not recognise my bank details....we have just changed our bank from Lloyds and it would not accept the details, so a trip to the bank......the girl gave me a different set of numbers........eventually, after swearing to throw the lappy out of the window a couple more times, the info was accepted, so I now await £12 from Quidco for changing through U switch.
It was a bright afternoon so we went out for a walk, the wind was in our faces as we set out but by the time we turned for home it was behind us and it was quite warm in the sun.
Mince and dough balls for supper, lemon cheese cake for afters.........
Started knitting a pullover for OH last night, dark navy wool difficult to see in electric light.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Morning(:o
) well ok....Afternoon. Haven't read todays thread yet but will do shortly when I get my first coffee of the day
.
Been a hive of activity today. Taught a lesson and had to do an assessment for a new client. Then off to Mr T's to get a few bits. I then went to mass which was really nice. I offered it for Morwenna, her EX DH and family; Sunny Girls dad; Diva and Tristam; Smokey and the smokelets; Hockeyduo and family; Casrina and DH; and everyone on OS with troubles, illness or worries.
Please don't be offended by my actions. I am not trying to force any faith upon anyone but just to pray helps me and doing this makes me feel as though I am doing something. I figure if there IS "something" then the more prayers the merrier if there isn't anything then its only been a waste of my time. Hope thats ok.
Then went to my mums grave to take some flowers and to clean the stone up. She is in a very beautiful cemetery really peaceful. Then I needed to get some cat litter(essental in this house!!:rotfl: ) Finally heading home remembered that i needed eggs:mad: so off to get some.
Finally home:j :j . Shopping away and on here.
Please let me say again thank you so much for all your kind words last night. They mean an awful lot and I am very humble and proud to be a member of this "family"
My inbox is now full so will do something about that later:o(honest)
Am off to have a coffee Mark has just made one and it smells GOOD!
By the way the bread was fine so lets just hope the other was just a blip. Soup was lovely as well. Rissotto for tea tonight(Marks speciality:j )
Will post shortly.
Thank you again,
Ann xxxxBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

Anniestar - I can only agree with what others have said, you looked lovely, that red really suits you and you looked really confident and, I'm sure did a lot better than I would have done in the circs!:D
Morwenna - Huge (((HUGS))) to you and the children, what an awful shock. thoughts and prayers are with you.
Betheebee - Welcome back! We missed you! Glad you've had a lovely time.
Kazonline - Welcome back to you too! I'm so glad you feel well enough to post again.
Welcome Jimmi
Thinking of all who are sad, worried or ill atm.
DD1 came round today to use our washing machine as hers has gome wrong just when she was about to wash DGS's school uniform, so she did some hoovering for me as I haven't managed to do it lately, then we had a slow walk to Asda for a few bits and pieces (yes, they were all things I needed) On the way back we sat on a bench in the sun for a little while so I could have a rest, as it's been a while since I walked that far (not far at all really:rolleyes: )
I stripped the bed this morning, so I must go and put the fresh bedding on in a minute or I'll forget all about it until I go to bed.......
I think we may go to the chippy tonight as I've done a lot of standing up today.
One of the crocuses is out in the front border, so nice to see it!0 -
Sybil I don't know any mummies that don't feel like it's their fault when their lil ones get hurt. The fact is that they will always manage to do something no matter how well we childproof, watch them ever so carefully. Sounds like Little Bear is just fine as he's playing today. And remember sweetie, many times they cry more from the surprise of a wee pain rather than the actual pain. You're a fab mum!
Beth Welcome home! I'm so glad you enjoyed your holiday. Are you going to share some photos with us? hint hint
New Ones and Returners Welcome and welcome back. I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
Annie I think prayer is one of the best thing we can do for others. Thank you. xxx
SunnyGirl I'm so pleased for you all hearing the progress your dad is making. We will continue to keep all of you in our prayers.
Good evening everyone.
I hope you've enjoyed your day. I got the laundry done this morning and most that was hung outside got dry. Some is on the airers inside. Need to sew on a couple of buttons on DH's shirts for work. Then do the ironing which will not take long at all. I usually only do DH's work clothes and shirts.
We had our tea early tonight and it was nice. Our neighbour is learning to bake and he brought over 2 slices of a chocolate cake with ganache icing. Yummy! Two nights ago it was apple crumble. It's very nice of him to share.
I made a loaf today and baked it at a higher temperature per some advice online. Silly me forgot to reduce the overall baking time so the top is a bit browner than it should be. I'm seriously debating making cinnamon rolls tonight and letting them have their final rise in the refrigerator. I've not had cinnamon rolls for breakfast in ages. They're beautiful right out of the oven all hot and gooey.
Off now to do the washing up from tea, iron and sew on the buttons. Many, many gentle hugs to all.

Just back from visiting a couple of elderly aunties near Whitby.
Hung out the washing before we left the house do it is nice and dry now.
We treated ourselves to fish and chips for lunch and bought a chocolate cake cards and tulips for the auntie who has an 88th birthday on Monday.
Enjoying a few quiet minute on here with a pot of tea.
Hugs to Morwenna and her children and also to pennypincher, hope she is all right.
Even managed to buy DD new trousers for work when we stopped in Redcar for a while.
Years ago DH was closing the car boot after I had removed shopping- he was so busy saying "Mind your fingers" he slammed the boot lid on my head!!!!"This site is addictive!"

If you are reading Vicky-please don't comment-oh dear the Warriors just can't seem to win:rolleyes:
Just waiting for my carrots to cook while I drink some lovely cider. The pork is resting and boy does it look and smell fabulous. Not bothering with apple sauce- no-one eats it except me so I'll have crab apple jelly on the side instead.
Looking forward to an evening watching a film from Lovefilm -American Gangster with Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe (sorry Reverbe-I know how you hate him)-it's an 18, so pretty violent I expect. We watched THe Constant Gardener last night which I thought was excellent.0 -
bargainbird wrote: »Redruby - Enjoy your teddy bears picnic:rotfl:. Don't forget to strip em off at the door
I had to strip them off before they got into the car  , they had such fun at the woods, climbing trees, and running for miles and miles, they were covered from head to foot in thick mud, so I stripped them down to T-shirt and pants and shoved them in the car, they were very embarassed and said 'Auntie Sue, don't look at my pants' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
, aged 7  got them home and shoved all there clothes in the wm.
I asked them if they wanted beans on toast or a snacky tea, with us, they opted for beans, which they ate, then devovered the rest of ours.
Thay have gone now and peace has returned :T
Beth good to see you back, glad you had such a great time xx
Morwenna, continued hugs for you hun xx
Have good evenings all xx0
