Haddock - how to use it?

I'm trying to empty my freezer, and have found a box of haddock loin fillets.

What can I do with them apart from fishcakes?

I'm not buying much shopping this week, so need simple ideas.

I have in the cupboards: potatoes, half a courgette, baked beans, sweetcorn, green veg, marrowfat peas.

Yes! That is all I have!

I don;t mind buying a few bits but need this week to be cheap.

Thanks!!

There are quite a few threads on fish in the Cooking section of the MEGA index that you might be able to adapt to fit what you have.

I quite often cook our fish (including haddock) in a piece of foil, squeeze some lemon juice on it, wrap and put in the oven for about 15 - 20 minutes (180 c) simple, easy, tasty and serve what ever veg/potatos that you have!!!

You have the KING of whitefish and you want to make fishcakes !!!!!!! ????

As an old Trawlerman ( 1968 vintage ) any recipe for Cod will taste twice as good with HaddocK.

Haddock is sweet, slightly dryer than Cod and much more versatile.

Try battered with an oxo cube and a teaspoon of honey in the batter , MMMMMHHHHHHH !!

Cook for no more than 10 minutes in a white sauce with fresh parsley, serve with new potatoes and fresh garden peas.

Combine with a small piece of Oak Smoked haddock and a few prawns for a multitude of 5* dishes ! ENJOY !

 ok, i fancy some haddock for lunch but can't be bothered poaching it and the microwave instructions say
cover and vent, cook for 4 - 51/2 minutes on full power and stand for 1 minute

How long do i shout at it for and what good will it have ???
