If your so bothered about the welfare of the chicken dont eat him. Im sure he would be happier alive than in your sweet and sour any day reguardless if you got him for £2 at Asda or £10 at M&S.

Chickens taste different according to what they have been fed. Most meat is like that too. It is no big mystery.

I'm not really bothered about getting into the whole chicken debate......BUT of course there IS a HUGE difference between an intensively factory farmed chicken and a free range one :rolleyes:...the difference is that one is kept in terrible conditions, the other is allowed to behave like a.............chicken! :rolleyes: .

Oh, and I do have a family to feed (3 kids & a Husband who has just been made redundant) but we eat less meat, but the meat we do eat is good quality meat.

I didnt see the threads on here slagging off the quality of the chicken when it was £4.47 so people have no right to now. Seriously some people need to get a life.

i no longer go to tesco as they endeavoured to stop hugh fearnley-whittingstall from helping chickens i hate them p.s.roger_rampant when something is in capitals it means the person is angry i thought that was obvious
