  • Not to mention all the hormones and other crap they pump into these birds - I worked for a brief time with a poultry buyer for a large food retailer and he recommended I never buy these. There still isn't enough medical evidence about the long term health implications.

Since then I either go without or pay extra for organic, quality meat.
  • There is no way i would consider buying any of these £2.00 chickens again for ethical reasons..

you should buy some and then freecycle them..I can pick up anytime....:rotfl: :rotfl:

There is no difference!!! A chicken is a chicken at the end of the day, they are all bred for the same reasons. Some people CANNOT afford to buy expensive chickens, simple, and even if they could why spend 3 x more for what is essentially a chicken  I wish these people would get over themselves, eat whatever you want and let the rest of us enjoy our pumped up, chemically filled chickens!

    I'd like to know something.

Do these chicken rights lovers eat chicken from KFC, Mcdonalds, meals containing chicken.........you get my drift!

    I bet a lot do :D

Or are those establishments below you?

very, very well-informed and because they are discounted, they will have been treated much worse than the standard bird that is normally priced at £4.49
