Selling Your Stuff on Amazon Part 12 - Advice for newbies in first two posts

It's reassuring when you get a sale again, isn't it? I've reduced lots of prices in the last month, and plan a major cull in the New Year.

Just had a quick check of the work account and the sales are rushing through since I posted earlier today. Loads for me to send tomorrow = 17 since I left on Friday evening.

We have a lot of new toys so they could be selling for christmas presents but I'm not sure why VHS are still so popular:

Toys = 7
VHS = 7
Books = 2
Other = 1

The plug came out after all yesterday afternoon, 7 sales in around 4 hours so all is well here again.

Excellent - I'm pleased its picking up for others too.

I ended up with 21 sales to post this morning. About £120 profit in total, mostly small ones but they mount up

Well it looks like my 7 sales were it , nothing since them yesterday afternoon.

I've just listed some more and one of those in ranked less than 50 and I am now the cheapest seller so that should sell.

We only sold one today too - sometimes it just doesn't make any sense at all

I've just sold 2 and they were 3 minutes apart.

Just checked our account again and one sold about 30 mins ago and another pending now.

Anyone in birmingham?

We are looking for a couple more people to take part in our forthcoming eBay Research that will interest those of you who have decreased the amount you sell on eBay by 20-90% since setting up your account to sell with other channels such as Amazon. The research is to take place on Tuesday 10th November at 8.15pm in Birmingham (B29). The project consists of a 2 hour group discussion and if you are selected to participate there is an incentive payment of 40 pounds.

General eligibility is as follows:
¯You must be aged 25-60
¯You must NOT have participated in a focus group or any other form of market research within the last 6 months (for Saros or anyone else), OR have been interviewed and selected to do so in the immediate future
¯You must NOT have participated in a focus group or any other form of market research on the same subject before or for eBay
¯Neither you nor your family and close friends should work in: advertising, market research, marketing, public relations, journalism or online services
¯You must be a British National or long term resident (20 year+ or since 10 years old)

I am wondering about switching over to the confirm when ship thingy on the basis that it might make a difference?

When I returned to selling I was automatically shoved onto the "confirm when shipped" thingy. Have not had a sale for 3 days now even though I have some high ranked books.
