Does anyone know what happens if I failed to dispatch a book before the 2 days as stated? Will my account be suspended. Should I send the book or a refund?

Send it ASAP. Your account takes a performance hit on despatch times and if it drops too low (I think it is 5% allowed before a telling off) you get a warning.

Soolin, should I issue a refund? As if I send the book, it will be about one week late in dispatch? Plus, with 2 further strikes next week, by the time it gets there, I don't know?

How can a seller work out their performance? Would sending about 6 books within last 3 months, and 1 book over 7/8 days late count as '5%' or ''suspension''?

Can you stick watermark text across your images?

    Sort of like this:-
    http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=watermarked%20images&rlz=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

flipper - images for books, DVD's etc are provided by Amazon but I suspect solitude is selling furniture or housewares where an image library does not exist in Amazon.

    Hi There

I'm selling jewellery.Another seller that sells cheaper quality item
is taking my images and text.
I'll look into seeing whether i can watermark our images.

Thanks for everyones advice so far.
    I really appreciate it.

I think if you cancel now you'll get two strikes rather than one. One for cancelling an order and one for late despatch as well. Your one strike will be well outside the allowed error margin anyway, but I think there is some leeway for small sellers as otherwise a single late shipment or cancellation would mean suspension.

You can check your statistics by looking on your main selling page and under the heading under the reports section find View your customer metrics summary

AS an idea on that page it says :

All Amazon.com merchants should be working toward achieving and maintaining a level of customer service that meets the following performance targets. Failure to meet these targets does not necessarily put your account in negative standing, but failure to improve may negatively affect your account.
    • Order defect rate: < 1%
    • Pre-fulfilment cancel rate: < 2.5%
    • Late shipment rate: < 5%
Have you kept in touch with your buyer throughout?

AS this is a difficult one I would phone Amazon customer services and ask. However in the back of my mind I seem to recall this cropping up before on the seller boards and someone pointed out that uploading a picture to Amazon gave them express permission to add your image to the catalogue for everyone to use as of course they only work against catalogue not individual selling accounts.

    Hi
Is anyone else having problems accessing the buyer waiting lists? I was able to download them last week, but now when I click the download button it takes me back to my "seller" page.
Have been trying for 3 days is this a glitch at the moment?

It's not been working for the last week for me, I don't seem to be able to find anything out about it on the seller boards.

Has anyone got the pre-order reports working at the mo???

Have trawled the seller boards too, but there is nothing on there about it. Still not working for me though!
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

That was a very brief holiday, soolin!

I have now had 3 failed attempted purchases, all for the same book, all showing at 21.39 in the evening. I've had a couple of others (for a different book), and emailed Amazon, who replied saying it all falls within perfectly normal parameters.

Is anyone else finding Amazon particularly glitchy?

I find Amazon is always glitchy but I sold two really old things today that have been listed for ages..so just off to search for them!

I was away for a week, but it probably flew past without me here to nag you all :o

I seem to have invented a new saying ' doesn't time fly when you're having a really irritating stressful time'

If I get another attempted purchase at the same time this evening I'll give Amazon a call.
