Sellers must ship within 2 working days. So if you buy on Monday the stuff must be in the post by close of business on Wednesday. Sellers can use 2nd class though and with the on off strikes at the moment stuff may be delayed.

The system also should send you an email when your item has been depatched, but many people don't seem to get them either because of hard spam filters or because Amazon are glitchy. If sellers are delaye din posting Amazon should notify you about that as well, but again glitches mean that is not 100% accurate.

Thanks for your reply.
So I am being unreasonable to expect to get stuff within a week?
I always have before.

I had an e-mail on behalf of one of the sellers saying it was posted last Saturday (10th). So surely it should be here by now even if 2nd class?

2nd class can take days to arrive, it's only been 4 working days so far. I think with the issues around the postal services I would leave it a few more days before you worry.

Sorry to intrude again.
I am just about to refund my buyer a payment, as her item broke . Will Amazon refund my fees? Does anybody know?
I think Amazon charges more than ebay, somehow think I`ll be packing it in , thoug only just started! I don`t like problems.

Just answer to myself. Had an email that they will adjust my account, which should mean that I will get my fees back.

It may be helpful to read the following thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=26080987#post26080987 detailing the inaccurate report on MSE including the sub-heading "Beware third party sellers" and orginally containing this quote:

"Buy from a third party off the 'Amazon Marketplace' platform and you'll pay postage set by the retailer, not Amazon, which can often be pricey."

I would suggest reading all the posts, (sorry :o) as although the inaccuracy itself has been changed, the original heading - after the re-write is now irrelevant and puts the majority of decent, honest, Marketplace Sellers in a bad light!

It has not been helped by a poster's one unfortunate experience, that obviously entitles him to endorse this piece of sloppy journalism and regale us with his limited observation including - quote: "avoid them like the plague".

Small businesses have enough to cope with in the current economic climate without inaccurate reporting, not to mention comments from those with an axe to grind .

Thank you for your time and patience in reading this.

A buyer left me a neutral after I sent a faulty product then refunded straight away when they told me it didn't work (obviously I didn't know otherwise I would never have listed it).

Anyway I asked if they would consider changing their feedback (or removing it) as its ruined my rating and they are very happy to but don't know how. I don't sell much so it took my 100% record to 72%.

Can anyone help me explain it as I have never bought myself so don't know how its done. I know it can be done but not too sure where to start. As a buyer do you just go into the order you placed and there is an option to revise/remove feedback

Many thanks in advance if anyone can help x

Hi JesaRose, good that the buyer has agreed to remove feedback - a neg/neutral can have a big effect on a small seller's feedback rating. Tell them these are the steps to follow to remove it;

"Removing feedback you left for a seller

It is possible to remove feedback up to 60 days after you left it. You may choose to do this if a seller makes an effort to resolve a difficult situation after you have already left negative feedback:
1.
2. Go to http://www.amazon.co.uk/feedback.
3. You'll be asked to log in.
4. After logging in, you'll see a list of your recent orders.
5. Find the order you want to remove feedback for and click the "View Order" button on the right.
6. On the next page, you'll see a "remove feedback" link."
PS there are only 5 steps - not sure why 6 appeared in the copy and pasting process

Thank you so much. I don't think she had any idea what a "3" rating would do as her comment said "faulty item but full refund offered". A nice buyer thankfully :)

Hi
Is anyone else having problems accessing the buyer waiting lists? I was able to download them last week, but now when I click the download button it takes me back to my "seller" page.
Have been trying for 3 days is this a glitch at the moment?

Hi All

I'm new to this thread and would really appreciate some advice.
I've been selling on Amazon for about six months now and i'm encountering problems with another marketplace trader.
This trader sells similar items to me and has twice taken my images and text
on two best selling items.
This means that when someone looks at the page on Amazon it has my picture/ text/name but says dispatched and sold by these other people
which of course means i'm losing sales.
On my inventory it also comes up as being dispatched and sold by them
I'm not sure how they are able to lift my images and text and change it so it
is dispatched by them.
Even if they are selling a similar item it is not the same as mine as i make
and photograph all my own items.
As their items are of a cheaper quality it is also misleading to potential customers who are not getting the item they see but a cheap copy.
I'm worried that this will confuse customers.
How can i stop this happening and change it back as soon as i see it.
I tried to speak to Amazon about it today but they were very busy and promised to call back but never did.
I intend to make an official complaint but would really appreciate any
help/advice /SUGGUESTIONSetc.
I'm struggling as it is on Amazon as i'm a small seller ( or rather small business)
and this is the last thing i need.

Thanking you all in advance.
