    Well done.
If you keep to your OS ways (most of the time ;)), even if you have some more money coming in, you will be able to spend the money on other more exciting things :).
When I gave up work to be a SAHM we took a big income cut and things are tight but OS helps us.
I am in a tricky situation right now as my dodgy back has been getting dodgier (and making me tired) so not always having the energy to be as OS as I would like, eg I bought ready made sausage rolls (which I could easily make) and also now gone from real nappies to sposies at 20 months (to save washing and having to hang it up but of course more cost now- BUT more incentive to potty train him as soon as he is ready!). This said I do try to be OS when I can.
    Anyway, well done again.

Congratulations mrsmx5 :T - isn't it a good feeling to get through Christmas, and start the New Year with no debt.

This is the first year that I've ever managed it and I'm working  - my own kids are all adults but I've got 5 grandchildren, 1 ds's g/f's child, 2 very young nieces and 1 young great-niece. (How I wish they would all get themselves exhausting hobbies ;))
  • This a great site isn't it, good luck to you for the future

    Well done mrsmx5!

I too have been helped massively by this board the people on it are great, so helpful & generous with sharing their recipes, ideas & lifestyles. I have recently increased my family by taking in a 16yo young man & I wouldn't have been able to cope with the food bills if it hadn't been for this board. It's a great feeling isn't it knowing that you are doing everything you can to help the family budget? Enjoy your payday on the 28th you've certainly earned it!
  • Well done, good on you!!!
    I love OS :T

The only problem is I could spend ALL day on here and not get anything else done (like this morning for example :rotfl: )
