hey guys,
hope youre all well. Just quickly popping in while i have a seconds chance. Im off to pay a parking fine that we contested and lost, as well as giving loads of stuff to the hospice charity shop so good karma coming my way soon i think!
Anyway, chat soonies!0 -
Uropachild - welcome to the board. I'm sorry to hear about your losses, but also delighted to hear about your lovely daughter. I breastfed all 4 of my babies, and found that I had a mammoth appetite as soon as I'd given birth. I think the essential thing to avoid weight gain is to ensure you eat at regular intervals, including lots of snacks, but try to keep those snacks as healthy as possible. I know you say you have a very sweet tooth, but have you considered some sugarfree jelly to give you the sweet fix, then find another more filling snack to satisfy the hunger? My way of combating hunger is to eat lower calorie foods throughout the day, therefore I don't crave a 'quick fix', and resort to the biscuit tin! Don't deny yourself your chocolate, but keep the amounts limited. I find that dark chocolate gives me a 'fix' after only a couple of pieces, because it's so rich, whereas with dairy milk I could eat the whole bar, and then some!:EasterBun Mind you, I've given up everything sweet for Lent, as a way of avoiding it!:rotfl: Just ensure you keep your nutrition balanced, and your calorie intake sufficient to not make you lacking in energy. Baby will take whatever she needs from you regardless.
Buttons - I borrowed my sister's child carrier for the bike for one of my sons, but I seem to recall he wasn't keen on it, whereas her son had been fine with going in it. The route you have available sounds lovely and safe to take Kiera out on, but if you have the chance to try first I would. Failing that, why not put a 'wanted' out on your local Freecycle (pardon the pun!) to see if anyone has one kicking around their garage?katiepoppycat wrote: »learned about a great medieval game this weekend. hot cockle. Well done Seren!:T
I cycled 2 miles again this morning -despite the sun hiding behind thick cloud, and there was a bit of drizzle. I think it's come as a bit of a shock to my bum, quite frankly! A little bit saddle sore to begin with. With all that cushioning you'd think it's be a breeze. It's slightly uphill the whole way to school, so the trip back is better, and faster! I had to brake suddenly and hop off before I whizzed out of an alleyway past a police car this morning! There aren't any bike routes here, but the roads are narrow, and a bit tricky, so taking a few alleyways and a trip thru' the park is possibly against the rules, but it's safest.
I have two teenagers home here today. Harrumph! they cramp my style, and just get in the way. The eldest is on study leave for his AS exams/mocks, and the 15y/o is home with a bad cold.
I've been feeling a bit peckish today, but have been trying to be sensible. So far it's been:
B - 5 slices nimble (250cals)
Snack - 1 large snack a jack, 1 Nairn's oat biscuit
L - M&S winter veg soup - absolutely delicious!
I've drunk lots of tea so far, which helps to keep me feel full. Tea will involve chicken & vegetables. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Hi all
Welcome to the newcomers, hope you find us friendly here!
I am not well at all todayWoke up with stomach aches, they have been coming and going all day. And when they come they are painful. I also have been feeling really woozy and faint, I had the shakes at one point, I had to eat my banana I was saving for after lunch, then didn't feel any better after that so a friend gave me another banana, I was like a skippy rope! So I went to the butchers where my mam works and got a pork and stuffing sandwich for lunch and didn't feel much better! Now I am home and I rung the doctors as soon as I got here, spoke with the nurse and she thinks it sounds like the start of a stomach bug. Oh well!! I will see how I feel tomorrow.
So now this puts my exercise for tonight a day back! As I dont think it would be wise to exercise when ill or would it? Would it help at all?
I'm not so sure.
Well today has been
breakfast cheerios and milk
snack cereal bar and then TWo bananas!!
lunch pork and stuffing sandwich
snackwill try to not have another one, see how i go
dinner was meant to be pasta but I dont feel up to it now my stomach hurts, I dont know what to eat
Raph would you mind taking me off the chart and resetting me please! As I have been weighed at superdrug today and will do that every tuesday as I do not trust my bathroom scales, they are different from one minute to the next! Never mind trying to do a weekly weigh in!! I can be 7 pounds lighter in a matter of a minute sometimes!!!ha, if only that were real!
I will begin again! With the weight that it states on my little printed out slip! And I will post my losses (hopefully) from next week. That way I know it is more accurate!
Mind, I wore my Uggs and Jeans to go on the scale...but I will try to do so every week so i don't throw it off. After all, it's the LOSS I'm interested in, not the actual weight!
Which brings me into my mood for today...I'm kind of wishing I never went to superdrug to get weighed cos I was instantly annoyed!! I knew it would be more than I was at home though, but didn't think it would be that much more!! Nevermind, at least I can have this horrid little ticket, to look at and feel proud when I've knocked a stone off the weight :T lol!
Have a good rest of the day, it's nice and sunny here, maybe a walk out would ease my stomach pains? hmmm
