Morning everyone! Saturday is upon us, that's when the sweet cupboard comes alive....or, maybe that's just in my house!

I'm not sure If I over or under ate yesterday, had a sandwich for lunch/brekkie, a wee bowl of HM chilli before I went out, then quite a few vodkas (hic) at my Grans, worst thing was though, they were using FAT COKE the whole time. Grrrrr. It was a big family get together - kinda, Friday is the day when most people go up there for a tipple anyways, I was told I shouldn't loose any more weight because I'd end up looking like Cheryl Cole - LOL - Don't think Cheryl cole weighs 12stone, do you?

Someone also mentioned that my hair looks a bit thin on top, I already KNOW my hair has thinned out a lot since pregnancy, but it's a bit upsetting to be told by someone else, and now I'm paranoid I have big baldy bits - Anyone got any reccomendations for a hair growth thing? I don't mean A JML WONDER THING, just like a herbal supplement, I hear Kelp helps?

I was supposed to go out into town today for a browse with my mum but she got a little too boozy tonight and is feeling rough, so I think today will be spent cleaning up, and might go to the pub for lunch/dinner later with OH and DD, been quite a while since we were all out together!

How much calories tend to be in pub meals? The one over the road really has no clue, they done it all up fancy, with LCD tvs at your table so you can watch your kids playing in another part, they have the waiters/ress's coming to your table about 12 times an hour, and it's £6 for a curry, which is TOTALLY microwaved and minging, I just think they have no idea what clintele they are after. Mixed messages!

I know to stay away from the lasagne at any rate...

    Evening guys,

Victory - did you ask your OH why he seems so concerned about your apparently large portion sizes? Is he concerned that if you go back to eating unhealthy foods again, you've not addressed the size? Perhaps if you were to tell him the calorie values of your veg laden meals, compared with one with potatoes/pasta/rice, he may realise that they are actually very healthy, and you're using the veg to bulk out your meal?

    ,

I have had a word with myself and was going to give up the salad at 9pm for the insulin to catch onto something then I thought no this is madness salad is 0 points, I am filling myself up on 0 points, to drop it is daft and I will go hungry and this is daft so salad is back, I mean who drops salad?:rotfl: :rotfl:
WW says each person automatically eats the same amount of weight in food daily, habit, portion sizes etc, I guess what has happened to me is yes I do but all healthy stuff, OH is worried not about unhealthy back to the junk days just the portion sizes, OH knows that all I eat is fab he is just seeing repetitveness, the same over and over the days and weeks and can't see the variety, the lack of cals and fats and just sees boredom and jokes with me I could write a leaflet on it, eat this and this and that for a week to loose such and such amount...repeat for 2 years:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am going to haveto on htis one ignore him, I really enjoy what I eat, veg and sugar free jelly and my crutch, my control over food and my ability to avoid all the bad stuff comes from the fullness of the veg at meal times so job done, I lost 6 stone that way, maybe I have not done myself that many favours but horses for causes and I did it that way, I DID IT MY WAY:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Mmmmm, a ham sandwich!!

Guess I'll just avoid anything that comes in a creamy sauce!

    Thanks Vic :)

Oh yeah, remember I had that op on my back 2weeks ago, well it's started to hurt now and I felt my back and there is a HUGE massive lump under it now, maybe fluid? I'm not sure if I should go to the docs or wait until it goes? Feels kinda gross though.
  • I haven't posted for a few days but I've managed to stick to my exercise plan and try and eat healthier. I've definitely lost some weight this week (weigh in tomorrow) so I'll be off the starting blocks again. My shape is also changing, I thought only a little bit but I caught a glimpse of myself while getting changed and the rolls of fat have basically dissapeared. I might still be overweight but my body has evened out and hopefully now the weight will drop off a bit quicker. Even OH mentioned it this morning so I'm a a happy bunny!:D

Just wanted to say thanks again for your support when I hit a rut last week, I'm so glad I carried on. The sun is shining today so we are heading off to the seaside and taking a healthy pack up to eat in the car!

Have a good weekend everyone and fingers crossed for my weigh in tomorrow

Hi everyone, I've decided to have my weigh-in on Saturdays as Mondays are very hectic with work and school run, and I'd probably forget by the time I get home to post :o . So this week I've STS so I'll start (again) properly today and report back next week. I think being poorly for a couple of days and the school holiday haven't helped.

I'd say go with your own instincts Buttonmoons, and don't be influenced by what anyone else says - if you think it's a cause for concern then get it checked out :)

FFM - see? This time last week you told us to expect a gain from you :p Well done on a great loss! Hope that's given you a good boost!

Congrats on the loss FFM and well done on STS purplevamp.

Simbalou thats great news i'm so glad you stuck at it and are now noticing the changes :T

Buttonmoons, i would get it checked out, it could be infected, better safe than sorry. But you know your body better than us and ultimately its your decision. Maybe call nhs direct for some advise or your doctors if they are open.
