New thread great:D
You are not going to believe this:rolleyes: went to the cinema last night, caught in traffic on the way there, made a passing comment that I was hungry, OH says that is my fault I make myself hungry by widening my stomach to accept masses of food:rolleyes: gobsmaked I said well yes but it is 0 points, WW healthy food and it is not carbs, crisps, pastries, pies, takeaways etc like it used to be and WW is an advocate of 0 points and help yourself type diet.
Oh said that I eat a buffet style amount of food for 4 men all on my own:rolleyes: I said it was sugar free jelly and salads and rice cakes and snack a jacks and cucmber slices etc but he says I have not closed my stomach to get used to lower portions, it expects masses of veg at night or huge salads or a lot of jelly and so will never be full and making it worse for myself:rolleyes:
I do eat loads but it is now all the right stuff, 0 points , low cal, low sugar low sat def low fat all the right WW things and said to him that I know each point I use per day, what cals it has whether it is 0 points or pointed how many I am supposed to have a day bank the exercise ones and managed to loose 6 stone doing that so can't be that bad and not doing it wrong.
OH adamant that I pile my plate with veg so much a family of 4 could eat it and still have some left over (rather that than the amount of pots, pasta, rice I used to pile it with)
I said no longer do I eat sausage rolls, pastries, pies, crisps, pots enough for 4 people etc and have gone to the good healthy stuff, he agrees that but says I need to close my stomach to accept less food otherwise I am just making it harder for myself and will never be satisfied:rolleyes:
What do you think?
I think I have been doing and continue to do the right thing, whenever hunger strikes I automatically go for the sugar free jelly or a rice cake or an apple or banana or cucumber slices or salad all the good stuff rather than 6 biscuits a pie or loads of white bread for lunch with mayonnaise etc.
EVERY DAY IT Is porridge, shreddies or weetabix with sliced banana and berries and skimmed milk, lunch soup baxters no bread or salad tuna or egg and sugar free jelly, snacks fruit or rice cakes, dinner any of the WW meals with masses of veg and sugar free jelly or a WW yog, 9pm insulin injection a few crackers with hummus or sugar free jelly or a bit of salad or snack a jacks:D
From the sound of it Victory you are eating the right amount of food for you, certainly not enough for 4 men (unless they were very very tiny jockeys!:rotfl::rotfl:)

Hi can I join in please?
This is great timing as I have recently decided enough is enough and I am finally going to do something about my ever increasing weight.
I am not following any diet/plan just going to reduce portion sizes and try to exercise more, have just started to walk to/from school each day which is over 4 miles in total.0 -
I am hopping mad *insert mad smiley*
Just got my asda delivery, the guy didn't even take my shopping up in the crates, he carried it all in 2hands (bearing in my mind there was bottles of squash and 3diet cokes- so it wasn't light!) and then just dumped them in my lobby, like it was a relief to put them down, I would think so!
Except - He smashed a big tub of low fat natural yoghurt, which I didn't see until I moved it to the kitchen, so now there is yoghurt ALL over my carpets, on me, all over other food items like butter, my low fat yoghurts, which had also burst a bit, and my daughters munch bunch. THEN the chicken deli filler that OH eats, was put in with raw mince - Surely thats health & safety right there! That had also burst all over the mince, luckily which can be wiped off but it pongs like mad!
So now I'm waiting for a callback from the store manager. Really not happy with that, and it easily could of been prevented. Best go scrub my floor now *MAD MAD MAD*0 -

Yes this is exactly my experience too, and it's even more pronounced on my home equipment. It's almost like it's only counting every second beat sometimes! I love my heart rate monitor, because I can get consistant comparisons across all the activities I do (apart from swimming which is still guesswork).
I saw your reply about the calorie estimate for my sausage and chips, thank you for that! For a 'small appetite' meal it was still quite big so 1000 is at least a sensible guessTotal (estimated) intake that day was 1705 and I'd done a 424 gym workout so hopefully I will get away with it!
Thanks Sary - it was completely guilt free! My son (10) loves his cod and chips too, I don't see any reason to deny him a takeaway once or twice a month - but it is just the two of us so I can easily have something else when he does
KPC how much of each one of these 30 do you have to actually eat? Is it just a teaspoon or are we talking a small serving  I love the stuff (the Sainsburys ones are my favourite)... but 30... wow!
Thanks Raph for the new thread, and congrats again on all your fabulous achievements lately!!!
Victory aside from what OH said to you, are you for the most part happy with your eating plan? If you are, then no reason to change anything! If not, what about making subtle tweaks to begin with, to get you closer to a plan that you would be happier with?0 -
it's 1 or 2 teaspoons of every one, depending on how they compare. We look at colour, aroma, taste and texture. You're right the sainsburys ones are the best! We're actually redevloping them at the mo though to have all natural ingredients. This is slightly gutting because currently the strawberry one is absolutely lush - tastes like bubblegum flavoured candyfloss and we just can'treplicate it with natural flavours. We tasted them against angel delight and the ADs were horrible. I found that in the old job as well - if more people compared branded products against own label the brands would bomb.
victory, although it wasn't very tactful your oh might have a point. I don;t know if there is any scientific basis for saying that your stomach will actually shrink or expand, but they say that you can get used to portion sizes. I think you've done things the right way - you've recognised that bingeing is a trigger for you and switched to healthy foods to counteract that. In the long run, you might consider slooooooowly dropping your portion sizes IF YOU WANT TO!0 -
hey everyone!
Raph: wow, 22 down to a 10! I wish i could get into a 10where did you get those trousers from? ha. Ive just noticed youre wedding is in november! when were you going to inform me of this raph? i need to know so i can arrange a week off and times off for my bridesmaid fittings. hi everyone, shiney new thread :j
Well my New Years Resolution was to get fit, i guess i'm on my way to acheiveing that as i do a workout every day, i have lost 6lb plus 3" off my waist and 1.5" of flab from my belly. My thunder thighs are looking more toned also
Missy thanks for the link to the exercise thread, i have never been in the arms so didn't know where to find it, will have a read through later and join in :j
Buttonmoons, some delivery drivers are really great some are rubbish, i live on a main road so they park a pavement width from my front door. Some drivers put the crate in the doorway and i unpack, others will carry all shopping in both hands at once and dump it in my house, grrr the crate way is so much easier for both of us so why do it any other way :rolleyes:Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Normally it's always the same guy who delivers, he's an old guy and we stand and have a gossip! They phoned back and are going to deliver all the damaged things tomorrow, and a goodwill voucher - would of preferred if they just knocked £10 off my bill but hey ho! OH can go buy himself some beer or something....I'm nice like that0

I saw confessions of a shopaholic-happy fluff, ending predictable, instantly forgetable, passes the time, OH my bloody valentine, he said it was nothing special even in 3d and would not bother to see it again so neither were any good, took little one to see Bolt 3d now that was excellent in 3d brilliant, slumdog millionaire was great, frost and nixon, some of them you just come away and instantly forget:D
Thanks for all the replies, MISSY Yes I am happy with my eating plan, when I binge, go off I miss the jelly and the fresh salmon and the healthy stuff and can't wait to get on it again instead of loads of fatty foods and junk, really do miss it.:D thanks marion;)

buttons you should be able to get compensation for the yog etc seen as he did not crate it and therefore made all that mess, tell Asda in no uncertai terms how unhappy you are and what a mess everything is in, take pics if necessary:rolleyes:0 -
Victory, thanks for the film reviews - very useful, I fancy taking the Little Monkeys to see Bolt, but OH fancies the 'Button one' - tried to book bowling at AMF - earliest available for family of 4 for 2 games was 9pm - we've now decided to stay at home :rotfl:
My OH groans and moans each time I watch a 'diet' programme - I think I watch them all too - have seen x-weighted though.
