Vix - do you mean a garden gnome costume or little goblin type thing? I haven't got one but have got some ideas on what you could do.0

Hey folks, been doing a lot (well for me
) the past few days.
My mum and I laid new tiles in my kitchen, they look fab and make my kitchen look more up to date, it was black & white tiles down before, from the last tennant that lived here. I'm going to get my backside moving and improve the house, we aren't going to get a move unless I popped out 12 kids, and until OH gets a raise, and I get a job, we couldn't even contemplate buying a house - It's Aberdeen, I think house prices have went up!!
I also had a blood test taken on Monday, results are - my thyroid is fine, but they want me back in for another blood test in 3weeks as they think I'm anaemic, borderline right now. Maybe my vitamins I've been taking the last few weeks has helped? I certainly don't feel AS tired.
I bought my tickets for Leeds festival (think I mentioned this) and OH is going to Rockness with his friends, so goodbye £350. We have none of the camping gear we need, transport, spending money - BLAH.
We are also down over £200 a month now, as OH earned too much so tax credits give us a whopping £10 a week now. I shouldn't complain, but I will anywaysour rent has went up, as has the gas (thought the prices were going down!)
I'm going to have to take the plunge and quit smoking, I've said it loads but never really attempted too as to be honest, I love a fag, but It costs around £200 a month as I smoke quite a lot, so it would make up the shortfall.
I want to get a part time job too, only thing is, I haven't worked since I was 16, got no qualifications except for some social care thing I got from college, I'm now 21 - Who in their right mind would hire me? Hahaha. I actually wouldn't mind slogging for a few hours in a supermarket etc, as going back to college isn't really possible right now unless it was a night course and I'd have to pay for that because I'm not an asylum seeker  though I'd get it free if I was going fulltime which sounds fab, but childcare would bankrupt us!
I don't wanna work ALOT of hours though, 16 maximum because it would have to be after 6pm at least because of OH's job and I'm a lazy sodplus the thought of all that housework to come back too.....
Diet wise I think I've been okay this week, I resisted a Domino's pizza tonight but that's more because I had a glance at the finances and can't justify £15 on a takeaway.
That's all my moans and groans for now anyways. Gonna miss this forum, cry cry cry.0 -

I've taken it upon myself to create a yahoo group to accomodate us for the weekend. The home page can be found at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/mseloseweight/
and the email address is mseloseweight@yahoogroups.com .
You need to click on the home page and then when you click on join, it will ask you if you want to receive individual emails or daily digests. Obviously if you want to be up to the minute up to date you need to chose individual emails. What that means is that everytime someone posts a message you will get an email. A daily digest will be one email with a group of messages together. I have a yahoo account especially for group emails. If you dont have an account you can sign up for one here.
You can set it up to send mail to other accounts but I found it easier just to open a yahoo account (I use it for flylady and freecycle). Once you have joined, you can send an email to the group email address and it will be receieved by all the other members.0 -
Have seen the above...will get on there now! Thanks Polkadot x0

I'm getting a 404 error with the yahoo group - anyone else? I use Safari (I'm an apple mac snob
) and I find yahoo tends to be tempermental with me.
If anyone wants to add me to FB, you'll find me on Sarys page. Name is Karen.0 -
Sary seen your first message (now all you need to do is brag here about how easy it was-and quick-one hour to go). Looking forward to seeing the rest of you. Im sorry I didnt think to set it up earlier.
DMV have you figured it out yet or do you need me to pm you? Im on my way to do that anyway now.0 -
Buttons I'm using Mozilla which seems fine. Have you got any other browser you could try? The link from polkadot worked fine for me - I've just put the first message on the new group's board.
PM me anyone who can't find my Facebook page, and I'll try to find you instead if that's easier? One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
