Just in case I don't get on before closedown at 10.00 p.m
(how will we all manage without our regualr fix of MSE?) and in case the forum stays closed until bedtime on Sunday.....
I'm away from Monday to Thursday so won't be here to WI this week. Please Raph can you put me down as a STS which will be a big fat LIE becasue I'm sure it will be a gain. We're off to Barcelona so tapas, rioja here I come. All I can hope is that the weather is good enough to walk everywhere and burn off the calories.
Love to all from Granny xxxx0 -
Morning all, hope everyone is well, welcome to the newbies I have missed and good luck on reaching your goals.
Granny, have a fab break!
I had my weigh in on Wed morning and had lost 1/2lb so started the week at 13 stone 1.8lb but I have really struggled since then to control my eating, I have a mental problem when it gets close either to the stone marker (ie getting into the 12's from the 13's) or when it is close to my stone point (like 13 stone 9 as that was 3 stones lost iyswim) it always takes weeks for me to get over the hurdle and I am there again arrgghhhh On Wed pm I overate by 217 cals (I think) but it was a binge and I had been trying really hard not to do that anymore (used to be a daily occurence) the binge was 110 cals on meringue nests x 2 & I think it was 6 hovis biscuits about 200 cals. Having written that down I don't feel so bad about it as it is only a blip really in the past a binge would have consisted of several chocolate bars and whatever else I could lay my hands on. Yesterday I was supposed to be having spag bol for tea (350 cals) but instead of having pasta I decided to have it on toast as my eldest was having toast but I ended having 4 slices of toast and putting cheese on it too so I believe that that ended up being about 600 cals instead. I rang my hubby straight after I had done it to tell him to not let me into the kitchen after RC class last night which I didn't so I only ended up being over cals yesterday by 46. So I should be able to reclaim the 300 cals or so that I have gone over by so far before Wednesday, just got to try and get my head back in the right place now. I think part of the problem on Wed was that I go to the rc class with my mum and sister, now my mum is doing great and has so far lost 4 stone my sister though only started recently and isn't really sticking to any part of the diet although has started to do 3 exercise sessions a week. I on the other hand had done 6 RC classes, 4 wii fit x 30mins free step and 4 x 50 mins ex at home too, she lost 1.5lb and I lost 0.5lb now I am happy really that she is losing the weight but I was definately miffed about it on Wed. sorry I am rambling here but just typing this out is helping me get back on track.
Todays plan is
Spec k & milk allowance 350 cals
L - Spag bol (having my folks coming for lunch so will stick to this today) 350 cals
T - Beef, veg & jacket potato (400 approx)
aiming for 10 drinks (3 done so far)
Snacks - 4oz grapes = 64 cals
Hope everyone has a good weekend and see you back here on Sunday night xFollowing :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
sorry reading that back sounds like a right winge for the sake of 300 cals over eaten but it is the fact that I had the binge in the first place that has upset me I think.

Hannah that wasn't a winge that was you trying to get your head straight which we all do here on occassions. You can guarantee everyone here has felt like that, and more than likely someone will read that and be helped to know they are not alone in feeling like that. I think weightloss is really a very emotional journey and it requires an awful lot of effort and energy, therefore when you are disappointed it can really get you down. On the other hand you still had a loss, so you are moving in the right direction!
If you want a push to get under that stone barrier, could you maybe tweak your food plan till you get there? Its obvious you are sticking to a sensible calorie controlled diet, but if you are having dinner left overs for lunch could you possibly cut that down/ cut out the lunch time carbs for a couple of weeks? If you had a low calorie soup (loads under 200cals) you would cut a few calories and reduce your carbs which seems to be working for some others on here? I remeber them saying on celebrity fit club that removing lunch time carbs can make a big difference. Whatever you do you have done brilliantly so far so you know you will get there.0 -
don't worry hannah, we all come here to whinge and that often gets us some lovely helpful constructive advice like what dmv has offered above.0

hello peeps - just a quickie as I am at work and never normally go on line at work, but the cat's away....
todays sw green menu:
Bkfast - HM sweet potato & splitpea soup
lunch: lentils, feta(HEb) & 1/2 tbsp mint jelly (1 syn)
dinner: sausage casserole - baked beans, kidney beans, rosemary, passata & 2 x sausages(7 syns) Can't decide whether to have with mash or to try making potato wedges for first time, as then pots would have skins on so more healthy/good roughage...
snacks: apple, banana on rye & linseed bread(HEb) , raw veg
Got friend coming round with a box of goodies from their allotment. I am making a lemon drizzle cake in exchange so might find myself scraping out the bowl.
Bones and joint were really painful last night but feeling bouncy today -very good appointment with consultant this morning, & pilates to look forward to tomorrow.
Mmm a weekend without MSE or OH who is working both days. It will be interesting to see what I get done.
HAVE A FAB TIME GRANNY. Enjoy your food knowing that you'll get straight back to routine on your return and any excess weight will soon be off again.
kpc - hope you have got all the sewing and prep done for the weekend and can relax and have a good time - sounds like you need a break from work stress. Have fun.
Thanks for the recipe polkadot: I like the look of it and may give it a try soon. I'd forgotten we had a recipe link on page 1 kpc, so thanks for the reminder.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Lol I have just noticed the notice! Ha on the forum homepage, forums will be closed from 10pm friday...durrrr how numb!
Ok so, my "new plan" I had started Monday has been going well-apart from I missed out on my Wednesday exercise session  and feel really annoyed with myself! But nothing can be done about it now! I will continue with Fridays session tonight, doing Davina Super Sculpt, and then planning on going for a run in the morning.
Out for a meal tomorrow night with work, then drinks! It's at an Asian Kitchen syle restaurant, so like chinese, thai, asian etc. But me and a girl I work with have decided we are going to share each others main and get a rice between us. And another baddie...is that this place do gorgeous cocktails!! So I am just going to have ONE!! And then I don't know what to drink, what has the least calories??
BB well done on the swimming, I am hoping to start swimming soon. I'm not sure how much it is at my local baths, as it's a new gym/swimming bath complex and probably quite expensive-ohhh and mmmmm lemon drizzle cake
Vix Sorry to hear that job has gone, I suppose getting your cv up-to-date still is not a wasted task though
Missy your targets are IMMENSE! And so motivational for me, as I want to become really fit over the next three months, to be able to run the race for life (a mear 5km, seems so little in comparison to your goals!) comfortably, and hopefully with ease!! Therefore, no problems in remembering to review at 30th June (as race is 5th July) I will be thinking FIT FIT FIT that whole last week of June anyway!!!
NMM how awesome will it be to have davinas six pack! It is fab! I plan to have results like that after these next three months  hopefully!! I'm already getting some definition around my upper abs (just under my bust) It's the "pouch" bit that takes the longest to tone and see definition apparently.
Sary sounds like you had fun at the playDo you think you will be finished your moving by the weekend? Or is there still lots more to do?
Granny have a lovely time! Barcelona is beautiful have you been before? Tapas and rioja is making me jealous-enjoy!!!
DMV your fish pie sounds DEVINE! I am going to have to make one of those and force andy to eat it, he's not big on fish! But I'm sure I can win him rounds if it's as tasty as it sounds
Hope the weekend is good for everyone else!
I have got this meal to look forward to at least (I will try to enjoy) I bought some new shoes for it, see here they are stunnnninngg! Hopefully, dancing around in those babies will surely burn off a cocktail or two  I am wearing wet look leggings with a batwing long-ish top, feel quite good in them too, which is a bonus.
Well I will report back on Sunday and let you all know how good or bad I ended up being!

Welcome to the thread Kindofagilr! Well done on your weight loss so far
Granny have a brill time in Barcelona, look forward to hearing about it when you get back! Lovely city for doing lots of walking!
BB as you know, if you could "feel it" after the swimming then that's a good sign!I've been looking at prices for a couple of the outdoor pools near here, but they only seem to do a "day rate" which is great for a day out, but isn't good value if you just want a swim. I was hoping these would be less packed than the indoor pools on weekdays. Hmm.
Andyslinz - this time last year I couldn't even jog the 'school run' one-way (1km). If anyone had told me I'd be looking to move up from half marathon stage within a year, I would have thought they were from another planet!!! By the way if you want to chit-chat about starting running, do look us up on the exercise thread, there are others on there tackling their first 5K too
Have a great weekend everyone, hope we don't miss the forums tooooo much!0
