wooo, first post! won't make any sense to anyone new.
yesterdays plan was:
CN cornflakes and milk
cocopops and milk; apple
cup soup snack
chicken savoury rice padded out with peas and sweetcorn and glass of tomato juice. IF I feel like i need it i might add a vegeburger
It turned out to be:
CN cornflakes and milk
cocopops and milk; apple
cup soup snack
chicken savoury rice, 2 vegeburgers and glass of tomato juice
Not enough veggies - must make more effort with that. Todays plan is:
cocopops and milk and glass oj
lunch CN cornflakes and milk; apple
snack - i've got to benchmark 30 types of angel delight today so no snacks
tea - 2 sausages and mash, green beans, glass tomato juice
Might even end up skipping lunch, last i benchmarked delights like this i felt sick after 8 so 30 could be a bit much. I have to compare all the major retailers + the brand against the sainsburys product and make recomendations if there are any changes needed. Interesting, but not good for a diet at all. You can spit but regurgitating the stuff is so gross it's easier to jsut swallow. Perhaps it;s just as well ajax hasn't been around in a while . . . . .0 -

Oooh, hello there! Lots of room in this new thread isn't there?
Spicey - good luck with the bungalow today!
Missy - I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your treat. I rarely have fish & chips, but when I do I try to do it guilt free, and just enjoy! My youngest (8) loves cod & chips, and often asks for it, but I have to say no.
Have a great day everyone, gotta rush off now, OH has just rung to say he's popping in for a cuppa before he shoots off to do more work. Later y'all! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Thanks for the new thread Raph, I failed miserably on my new years resolutions - although I am now getting back on track. My resolutions were:
- Get to bed before midnight - not too bad since joining the gym in the middle of the week because I have had some early classes, induction etc so had to get to bed early.
- Not eat chocolate - had a serious binge session last week - but getting into the gym has made me think I'd rather bank the calories.
- Exercise each day - again the gym has helped here.

Missy, thanks for the heart rate info, I suspected the monitors at the gym were rather suspect because my rate was all over the place - when I upped my work rate my heart rate went down :rotfl:

New thread great:D
You are not going to believe this:rolleyes: went to the cinema last night, caught in traffic on the way there, made a passing comment that I was hungry, OH says that is my fault I make myself hungry by widening my stomach to accept masses of food:rolleyes: gobsmaked I said well yes but it is 0 points, WW healthy food and it is not carbs, crisps, pastries, pies, takeaways etc like it used to be and WW is an advocate of 0 points and help yourself type diet.
Oh said that I eat a buffet style amount of food for 4 men all on my own:rolleyes: I said it was sugar free jelly and salads and rice cakes and snack a jacks and cucmber slices etc but he says I have not closed my stomach to get used to lower portions, it expects masses of veg at night or huge salads or a lot of jelly and so will never be full and making it worse for myself:rolleyes:
I do eat loads but it is now all the right stuff, 0 points , low cal, low sugar low sat def low fat all the right WW things and said to him that I know each point I use per day, what cals it has whether it is 0 points or pointed how many I am supposed to have a day bank the exercise ones and managed to loose 6 stone doing that so can't be that bad and not doing it wrong.
OH adamant that I pile my plate with veg so much a family of 4 could eat it and still have some left over (rather that than the amount of pots, pasta, rice I used to pile it with)
I said no longer do I eat sausage rolls, pastries, pies, crisps, pots enough for 4 people etc and have gone to the good healthy stuff, he agrees that but says I need to close my stomach to accept less food otherwise I am just making it harder for myself and will never be satisfied:rolleyes:
What do you think?
I think I have been doing and continue to do the right thing, whenever hunger strikes I automatically go for the sugar free jelly or a rice cake or an apple or banana or cucumber slices or salad all the good stuff rather than 6 biscuits a pie or loads of white bread for lunch with mayonnaise etc.
EVERY DAY IT Is porridge, shreddies or weetabix with sliced banana and berries and skimmed milk, lunch soup baxters no bread or salad tuna or egg and sugar free jelly, snacks fruit or rice cakes, dinner any of the WW meals with masses of veg and sugar free jelly or a WW yog, 9pm insulin injection a few crackers with hummus or sugar free jelly or a bit of salad or snack a jacks:D0 -
Just a quick post to get me on the listing!
Re the stomach shrinking - yes your OH is probably right you do want to do that BUT do it gradually, now you know WHAT to eat and what not to eat then slowly VERY slowly reduce your portion size and you will be fine!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Victory - when I first read through your post I thought - wow he sounds grumpy (maybe he was hungry too) - then I reread it and I do agree with both of you.
You have definitely done the right thing to lose weight, but maybe trying to reduce portion size might help - I think your OH is right that your stomach does shrink/grow according to the amount you provide it with.
Have you ever watched supersize vs superskinny? The supersizers often say that what the week in the food clinic shows them is that they can survive on less volume of food.
By the way what film did you see? We're looking at the films at the moment for this afternoon but there doesn't seem to be one to suit all 4 of us.
