    Hello. Just wondering how the backlog is going now. I'm going on holiday on Thursday til Tuesday, and don't want my order to turn up when I'm away, but also would like it before the end of next week as I am off work. Trying to work out when to order for greatest chance of it turning up between 11th and 13th! :rolleyes:
    on friday (27th) i got a dispatch notice for my order placed on 21st so at that point they were about 6 days or so behind if that helps

    Except orders aren't being shipped in order still (my order from the 20th has had no update/refund/dispatch email) so its difficult to say what's going on really.

    There seems to be no logic whatsoever to the order that parcels are being dispatched, pretty disappointing when Dan already posted that they would be in chronological order from that point on. The lack of dispatch e-mails is also annoying, I guess it will be another while yet until everything starts getting back to how it should be. :confused:
  • I ordered on the 21st as well and I've heard nothing, so not sure where they are up to as some people who ordered on the 21st have had dispatch emails but some people from the 20th haven't. I'd say they still seem to be about 10 days on the delivery time depending on your luck!!

    I am also waiting for an order from the 20th.....no information at all as yet.
  • My mum went to the warehouse on Friday and took my brother for the first time as they were on their way to a family do in Cheshire, and again we cannot sing AF and the staffs praise enough.
    My mum took a long list of things we wanted with quantities etc with her and as soon as they got there the staff Sally I think and another young chap took the lists of my mum split them between them as it was about 3 pages long lol and went off an collected it all together even writing prices down. While they were doing this my mum an brother looked round themselves and picked up more things.
    The staff again went out of their way to help like last time and I can't say anythin bad about AF, the staff or the food (apart from they ran out of bakin boys cup cakes lol). But seriously if you live close enough or can combine it with another trip then do visit the warehouse for more bargains. Otherwise it's definately worth the back log wait. xxxx

    Thank you once again to Dan, Sally and all the staff for their hard work and help.

    Agreed, have heard nothing of mine from 19th. Not worried, but wanted to post to agree, lol :rotfl:

    We are now packing orders from Feb 22.

    We begin to pick orders in chronological order but, as the supply of goods is not as consistent as we’d wish, there are times when we have to delay the completion of the packing process in order to ensure that the orders are complete.

    The lack of despatch emails is due to new DHL software which simply isn’t working correctly. This is as frustrating for us as it is for the customer, since it can result in packages not being delivered and returned to us, who then have to re-despatch them. Their IT people are working to resolve the problem.

    Our system within the warehouse has been refined and further computerised, and I am pleased with the increased efficiency that has resulted. The new website is still in progress. I had hoped for it to be up and running by now but, as we have been developing it, we’ve seen further possibilities for improvement, so the whole process is taking longer than expected.

    ....Regarding orders going out not in strict chronological order; that has been against my explicit instructions. I am grateful that it has been brought to my attention. I will look into it and ensure that it doesn’t happen again......
