  • I had an email saying items i ordered were out of stock and as they were expecring a delivery my order was on hold. however they now have these items and my order should be out this afternoon to be delivered tomorrow hopefully!!
  • Good to see we are back on track with this thread:D .

Just had my order from 10/2 delivered today by DHL, no email notification beforehand but luckily my neighbour took my parcel in for me:j .

DHL actually managed to deliver my parcel without bashing it, so everything was delivered in one piece.

Thanks to Dan and staff, I await my next delivery which was ordered on the 17th and is being delivered via the new carrier(anyone know who they are?).

  • I am posting this to clear up a misunderstanding. The quote and reply is from #461 (link) in the previous (now reinstated and locked) thread.

He didn't go nationwide, at least not with intentional publicity. Somebody here picked up on his site and, because of us, he got the publicity - media contacting him, not the other way around.
If you don't want him to have the publicity then I guess you ought to contact folk like Martin Lewis and tell him not to talk about it on GMTV."

    That is simply NOT true.
The fact is that user 'approvedfood' posted an 'offer'/advertisement to the The Great “Want to offer MoneySavers a discount/voucher?” Hunt on this site 23-10-2008, 8:12 PM.
Here's the link to it: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=15247407#post15247407

That was BEFORE any other thread had mentioned Approved Foods.
  • sellercheckuk, please don`t quote things I didn`t say

    this was my quote

I can see what has happened here, the post that sellercheckuk has quoted was by Mistymaid and she had quoted you Kittie.
Mistymaid's post is from the line:

I guess it depends on what your expectations are....

Your quote Kittie was the part above that as you have rightly pointed out.

Unfortunately unlike some other forums this one does not appear to separate people's posts or rather the quotes taken from them with lines/boxes, which becomes confusing when more than one quote appears. :p

Sellercheckuk I am a bit confused by your post. I have been reading the forums for a while, although not actually posting until recently, I was under the impression that AF was 'discovered' by a poster and they then told everyone else. Are you saying that AF 'advertised' on MSE in some way prior to the big deluge of orders? (Yes I know advertised is the wrong word but I can't think of a better one!:p) Or did they only give out the discount code after they had been mentioned on the site? I know way back in the old thread there was mention of a discount somewhere.

I am assuming that approved food offered a discount on MSE (as shown in the link given in the above post) before the post "Cheap food, however..." was made by twise?twixt?! (sorry cant remember name) on shop but dont drop.

Personally I dont see that it really matters though? I won't be losing any sleep over it.

Anyway. Does anyone know where orders are up to now?

It seems that I do now!

Just received my order which was placed on the 17/2. I ordered loads of items and they were all in stock so no refunds and everything was really well packaged.

Didnt get a despatch email so I really wasnt expecting the order yet. What a nice surprise!:T
