I think that would be just too much to hope for! Well done and thank you to MSE Andrea anyway. :T I am sure there are many new posters glad to have that thread back for reference if nothing else.0 -

Both my parcels so far have not been damaged at all, in fact they were in excellent condition, but then they were also sensibly packed. Some of the problems with parcels arriving damaged could be due to bad packing/lack of packing material, especially where heavy objects are concerned.
I am more concerned for my last order as it was on the new tariff and will be extremely heavy, I would think the heavier it is the more likely it is to get 'bashed about'!0 -
My last parcel was also more neatly and securely packaged not that the old ones were bad just that this was better IYSWIM;)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

yes i know what you mean, my umteenth order came this morning all battered. Lost 6 jars of honey and 4 pudski, what a soggy sticky mess. No bubble wrap around the jars this time, will have to call them in a mo.0

My second box however, was perfect - all breakable items had been wrapped in bubble wrap and there wasn't even a mark or dent on the box.0 -

I am getting really worried about my own parcel now, it has a LOT of cartons of juice in it! Jars and bottles too...
I can to some extent see that AF need to save money on their packaging, wrapping everything in bubble wrap is great although it may not be cost effective. Surely a compromise can be reached without making the parcel prone to having squashed/broken contents?
Maybe the parcels are just being packed faster to try and keep up with demand which is leading to less care being taken by some packers?
In some ways the contents are probably also having an effect on how bashed the parcel is, a combination of very heavy items and very light items is going to cause the goods to move around inside if they are not packed securely enough.0
