My order placed on the 26th arrived this morning. I am enjoying a cup of tea made with Harrods teabags :beer:Really recommend this company -wish it was around when my kids were young. The baxters mushroom soup is cheaper than I can buy in their factory beside me and as for the sweets and chocolate yummy. It all came very well wrapped much better than a Lakeland order which I had recently which had burst and leaked. Will place another order for loads of cleaning stuff this time + more Harrods tea.Really pleased especially as I can pay with paypal and use my ebay earnings ;)

Got my order, delivered by DHL but no dispatch e-mail, which this time was a pain in the neck as we have no home-school lessons until next week and my older son was visiting so we were out a lot! Well packed and no mishaps except the crackers, half of which are crumbs, well I guess I can drop them into soup as crispy croutons! lol
I asked for no substitutes as I have had some weird ones before and decided not to risk it! I think there was a little box to tick for substitutions and you can also make a substitute basket that they will add things from if items are sold out. A good idea that! :D

Also on the plus side, I got my bounty bars substituted with sardines last week ... okay, I wasn't too impressed at the time.
But at the start of the weekend I also had (not from AF) a very sick 17 year old cat, by today I had 2 very sick 17 year old cats. Needless to say, the sardines have just come in very handy.
Every cloud and all that ...

Last week my vegetable boullion was substituted with pedigree denta stix! Needless to say our pooch was very very impressed!:rotfl:

GRUNNIE, how long does it usually take from when you get the email or text saying your order is packed and waiting to be shipped before you actually get it? i ask because i think we liverelatively near each other. i'm near baxters too. it's my first order so not entirely sure how it works.

I didn't get a dispatch e-mail, but I think they shipped the order the day I was refunded for out of stock items, that's what usually happens, so that would make 6 days from ordering to receiving. I might have got it a day earlier if not for the bank holiday, as DHL don't deliver on bank holidays. I got the refund on the Friday afternoon and the parcel arrived Tuesday morning. If you are northern scotland it will probably take an extra day at least. Hope this helps. I wish they would get their dispatch e-mails sorted out though, it is a bit hit and miss. :D
  • Thanks Jaytin. I got an email and text today saying it had been packed and ready to be shipped, just wondering if it will get delivered tomorrow, as it's the weekend. don't know what courier they use or anything. I've forgotten most of what i'd ordered now and i'm ridiculously excited about it. lol. :rotfl:

I have never had mine delivered on the weekend, I don't know if DHL deliver weekends, also you are further away than me. I am only about 2 hours drive away from the warehouse. Monday would be much more likely, you are supposed to be able to track the parcels but mine never seems to work! My son goes crazy unpacking the box, he finds it all very exciting, and he is 15! lol

i got my notice on wednesday and got it delivered on friday, i'm up in scotland and they even managed it with all the closed roads, i shouldn't think you'd have to wait much more than 2 days after the notice yourself and like others have said, i don't think dhl deliver on weekends either
  • Thanks everyone! Sorry if i've been a pain in the bum. :o It's my first order. I spent ages looking at the site and reading up on everyone elses experience with them before ordering. And i'm not the most patient person in the world! :rotfl: I hate even waiting for a bus. lol.
