Can't believe I forgot flour-I get through tons of the stuff
Also the cereals go down well with my kids as a treat. They don't get them very often so they haven't got very high standards.
I found the value Golden syrup not good-didn't have the right taste at all, probably OK in baking but not on porridge0 -
Love Chocolate, caramel wafer biscuits, OJ, flour, loo roll, fresh mince, strong cheddar, hot chocolate, some of the kids clothing.
Can't stand frozen mince, frozen veg, cereals, teabags, pasta (far too crunchy when cooked for too long!) bag of value oranges (always below fresh standards in our store)
Everything else is pretty much okay IMO.
The Value range makes me laugh...I remember when the range first came out as a "cheap essentials" range. How is a mango an essential??!!!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I must confess to regularly buying tesco value tinned tomatoes and kidney beans even though I'm trying desperately to avoid supermarket shopping if at all possible. I wouldnt touch any value brand meat or eggs with a bargepole, I seriously doubt it would have been ethically produced. I think we tried some of the value chocolate once and it was ok. I'm always very torn about buying from any excessively large corporation but I think if teh value ranges make them less profit its probably better than buying their full price ranges. I wonder what the suppliers get though? Might have to reconsider even the tinned tomatoes if the farmers are geting an ever worse deal than usual.
Shopping is such a minefield isnt it, we try to save money, but I don't want to compromise the basic ethical considerations either0 -

The packets of paper for using with the computer is good value too, especially if you have little ones who go through reams of the stuff!
I generally use the tins of toms, kidney beans, butter for baking, kids yogurts(sometimes - bit like petit filous). I also get porridge. My kids like the supernoodles every now and then and at 7-8p approx they are good value (though admittedly of no nutritional value) - i often crumble a stock cube over them for a bit more flavour. The kids vests/socks/pants are fine too. I also buy the peppers and some other veg - can't think what else at min but there's def more - the bottled water is ok too
Sometimes I'm reluctant to buy the value brand incase the quality isn't great and then end up having to something else so I'm sure there is plenty that I have thought about buying but not actually done so0
