ok I'm giving up! Tried my old laptop and soon remembered why I dont use it as it shuts down after about 20 mins!! Will ebay the game and just accept that its not meant to be for now and will take it into account next time I buy a laptop! Thanks all for your help

aww rik youre very sweet for an alien!! What does doing all that actually DO though!! I am worried that its just had it, overheats and just turns off (fan bust maybe?!!). Am happy to have a go as long as I know why IYKWIM...esp being exceptionally dull on these matters!!

Top 2 scan for nasties. Hjack tells us what software is running.
Its quite possible its overheating or theres a hardware fault but we may as well double check the easy ones first

AR you there? Am doing the malwarebytes scan and so far its got 5 objects infected! How do I post result on here - know that you can do a screenshot but dont know how (quelle suprise!) or should I just copy and paste?

After its finished scanning ~ you DELETE everything and THEN a log is created. Just copy and paste the log
