Glad to be of help!
I know how difficult it all is, we get our keys on Wednesday and it still hasn't sunk in plus I haven't even started packing!
OMG so much to do so little time HA!0 -
We're first time buyers, had an offer accepted last Saturday on a lovely 3 bed semi, up for £99,950, accepted £95,000.
We are just waiting to hear back from Nottingham Building Socitety regarding our mortgage application..
Sent the signed application along with payslips, bank statements etc on Wednesday, and they received them on Thursday. I can't concentrate on anything! Rang today to see how things are going, and the lady (who is lovely) said it is a really busy time and that she checks her cases every single day and as soon as she knows anything she will be in touch. She said it's at credit check stage and that 'no news is good news'
Just so so nervous, and desperate for an answer0 -
Well, got off phone to Natwest earlier and after an hour, we're now approved for mortgage, subject to valuation and wage slips, ID etc. Just got to wait for the forms....learning as I go! Amazing how much there is to take into account - I'm sure life cover, and buildings and contents quotes will keep me busy in the meantime :rolleyes:
Anyone bothered with taking out mortgage protection insurance? Not sure about that one.
Went for a full structural, really hoping that comes back good! Should do, it isn't an old house, but there are a couple of things we want checking so we know for when we are able to extend one or two bits.:D
Quite pleased actually - missed out on stamp duty and I found out that I didn't have to pay the basic valuation fee of £275 as well as the full structural fee (£780), although up until a year ago, I would have! Yay!:cool:0 -
Me and the misses are FTB and are looking for a decent property to buy but the rates the lenders are currently offering are too expensive. Any one know of a good mortgage deal? we got about 20k saved up and looking for a house in a region of 175-185k.Bank charges Reclaim:
Capital one (c/c) = Won - £687.00: 8/2008
Cahoot C/A = £1300 pending until court case:rolleyes:
Natwest (C/C) = Caliming £276 = won £276 Feb 09
Baclaycard = Not Started-Cahoot (c/c) PPI Won £5200 -

Well done you! Our turn next - hoping to receive paperwork from Natwest this week, then get bank statements/wage slips/ID certified in branch on Saturday, then posting it all off ourselves, recorded delivery. Let's hope our surveyors are kind, do a good job and don't undervalue :rolleyes:0 -
