no probs. I wouldn't have it done coz I'm allergic to everything so I'd probably end up scratching like a scabby dog if I did :rotfl:It's most random isn't it?! 0 -

I dont like the MW touching my bump, let alone some stranger painting it. I did like those photos that Krystals friend does though. Maybe not of my bump but would love some of beanie when she arrives. Its an idea for a pressie for the doting grandmother who has a birthday about 8 weeks after beanie is due.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0

morning all, girls and bumps!
How's everyone today?
((((((((Triggles))))))) some gentle hugs for you.
Sami, I'm glad you know now why yesterday was so hard with Chris, that must be a relief!
Glamazon, that's a shame you're not a Cardiff girl anymore, I'm on the look out for local mum-friends!
I met a really nice new mum via freecycle t'other day, but just one new pal doesn't feel like a support network! Friends of mine who've already done the baby thing went to those NCT classes and met some good friends there. But we just went to the free day at the hospital, and didn't really fit in. And no-one was really there to make friends I think, it was just an information gathering day.
Sat here having my brekkie, wondering what to prioritise today. Does the baby (currently called Fergus in our heads) need us to have a finished off house, me to sort out my practical pain-relief jobs for labour (new pads for TENS, swiss ball, therma wraps...) a freezer full of meals so when he comes his mum and dad aren't surviving off takeaway, a dust free environment so his little lungs are ok....... and then I get so overwhelmed I don't do any of it properly, just flit from task to task panicking!
Love Weezl x
P.s I'd be really greatful for any tips on newborn carseats. What's better/worse about front facing/rearfacing and all that?

Still waiting for our new arrival,(due 17/02) mw has booked me for a sweep on Wedensday if nothing has happened by then, our last ds was induced 14 days late so don't hold out much hope for this 1 coming on its own.0

The baby doesn't have an opinion yet, so it comes down to what you need. I'd say the first thing should be the pain relief, then the freezer meals. The dust can come next when you get the urge to nest (cause what will you do if it's all done when you need to clean something?) and the baby will not turn up his little nose if there are jobs that still need doing when he arrives so that can come afterwards.Sat here having my brekkie, wondering what to prioritise today. In the meantime, have a cup of tea and plan the day slowly. It's all manageable.
Today I need to head over to my place for a couple of hours, my beloved needs to be here and awake to take delivery of a new (to us) sofa, we both need to pack for leaving tomorrow, I also need to pack for the conference I'm going to the day after we come back from our honeymoon, and I have a small mountain of work to be done that should have been done yesterday but wasn't. It'll mostly get done, and the work stuff can run into tomorrow on the plane if necessary. Plenty of time for everything.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
