No idea what a Stork Walk is? Maybe you guys know it as something else but up here in West Yorkshire the Stork Walk is your walk around the maternity section of the hospital to see where you will give birth and a (hopefully) visit to the Special Baby Care Unit too. We need to book here as they just seem to do them at weekends and apparently they get booked up quickly. They can also be cancelled at last minute due to lots of ladies in there giving birth and all hands on deck are needed - hope ours isn't cancelled!

Like Elle we get a "tour of the unit" but it is taken by an off duty midwife so provided there is an empty delivery room we see most of it, no SCBU tho is that just because ur having twins n therefore they may have to be in there for a lil bit?

I must remember two things this time tomorrow...
    a) I've got an appointment with the consultant on Mon morning and therefore do not need to get up early for work,
    b) When I'm there, I must ask for the dates of our tours and the breastfeeding classes - BF class one Saturday a month, then tours and labour/pain relief info sessions on the other three. I got the 2008 list in my booking in pack. Can book on them after 24wks.

    Someone remind me! :)

Where's Krystaltips been tonight? (how very dare you have a night off? :p)

Labour vibes to all who need/want them! :D

    Night night xx
  • Morning :D

I can't be the first up again surely  I'm not even up early this morning!

Anyway, still nothing doing here unless you count a baby who wants to dance his way out of the sunroof!! He has always reacted to music but now he goes mad when he hears it. Admittedly, I have been teasing him, I bought a glow worm that plays lullabies and have been holding it against my bump so he can see the glow and hear the music :p Silly sausage needs to learn that life on the outside is gonna be a whole lot more fun than all squished up in mummys tummy!

Just had my breakfast so will go and wake hubby. Have booked him and DSS in for some bowling this morning then they are off to MILs to pick up our Sunday Lunch (she is an angel). Means I get a morning to myself ;):D

  • AF - the MW is only coming to me because my normal MW is on holiday so it means I don't have to trek to another surgery to visit one.

Sami - not sure I would call a sweep 'medical' I would say the taking your BP and checking your wee bit is much more medial that a rummage in your lady bits :rotfl:

I reckon they are gonna be coming here after Bubba is born anyway so I best get used to them!

Just popped in to say good morning and spread some labour vibes to those in need.

Happy birthday wishes Ickle and congrats on being 30 weeks, wish it was me.

Tara (((Hugs))) Dont know what else to say, I would have gone nuts at the Dad.

    MFD enjoy your morning!

Im off out to a carboot sale with DD, hopefully make some money, spent most of last night clearing out my house.

DH is on his way up to load the car for me. Hes staying at his mum's while I decide whether to take him back. Still feeling confused on the issue, sometimes I think Im strong enough to bring all kids up on my own, so they dont grow up with this carp in their lives.

Im seriously considering seeing if I can book into antenatel classes this time. I've never done them before, but they might laugh when I say its baby no4, yet I still feel such a novice and dare I say "scared".

*yawn* I'm up too - kind of awake... DH left the alarm set from yesterday morning so was rudely awakened at 7:50 grrrrr
Oh well I'm up now and have had my breakfast - just wondering if I should tidy the tip of a house, or go out in the garden and pootle round there for a bit - hmmmmmmmm
Have to pop out for a couple of hours at 1 - should be back at 3 though with any luck so I could do the kitchen this morning - then the garden for an hour before having a shower and popping out. When I get back I can then do the floors and fold the washing... well miracles DO happen ;)

    Morning girls!
    Happy birthday ickle :j
Well I slept ok, still having BH's which are sore but not very often so I'm sure it's nothing.
Will have a word with MW on Tuesday if its still happening.
Hopefully goign to Mothercare today, I really want to change the buggy aswell :(
I've seen THIS ONE which is virtually the same as mine for £169.99 then obviously you have to get the car seat, but the carseat comes with a base and I can get them both for just over £100, so altogether I'd save about £80-£90 too, but OH isn't keen, might have to put my foot down, or at least try.
SO my plan is to try out the graco seat and base and if it fits say well we might aswell get a matching buggy lol
Will have to go to halfords though as they dont stock the seat in MC.
    I'm becoming obbsessed! :o
