    Hi all..

Our lovely builder is here dashing around the house, bleeding radiators and trying to get the heating working properly - bless him!

Hugs to Mrs Moc, Shelvis and Krystaltips :(
Labour vibes to MFD - and Weelz if you still need them! :)

I got a new pain earlier - up where my ribs meet.. Not bad, just uncomfy so I assume baby was having a stretch out :D

Going to go food shopping later - am feeling surprisingly well with a fair bit of energy today :) Surely feeling so good should be rewarded with iced ring doughnuts or such? ;)

Did I mention my mum was saving up her Lotto winnings to pay for my pram? She won another £100 last night - jammy thing! :D Now up to nearly £600 I think - not all of that will the spent on the pram so we have some leftover for other stuff. Since Tuesday afternoon, she's also bought about five blue things (dummies, bottle bag), and has today been to a knitting shop with my Grandma for little boy cardi patterns and blue wool! :D

Just had a text off Hubby saying 'I got Mr Kipling slices because they were on offer, hope that's ok...'

I applaud the MSE in him... But I want blummin chocolates!!!!!!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Text back and tell his that is okay, as long as there are chocolates as well! Sometimes we've got to be very clear about these things!

Tine, thanks for the advice... I'm going to talk to hubby properly about it and get the full picture then I post on DFW :) And I knw there's every chance that with chemo etc my aunt will make a full recovery... It's just she's my best friend too (was MOH at my wedding) and has two little boys 9 & 4 and I just don't want any of them to have to go through it all... And she's 40 miles away in the middle of the countryside so I can't even pop over to help...

No worries :) even if it ends up with having to pay something then at least we can make sure it's on your terms and fair - not a multitude of charges that they think it's ok to add (which it isn't ;) ).

My aunt has 2 kids too - daughter and a son a few years older than your niece and nephew so I can appreciate how hard it must be. They too live in the middle of nowhere - infact they have a gorgeous little farm/small holding type thing where they have a couple of race horses (sulky racing - far more popular in Denmark than "normal" horse racing) and there is no public transport or anything out there... Very isolated :(
At least mum only lives about 20-30 mins away so she pops up there regularly to offer moral support but it's definitely tough on all...
I think the only advice really is to just stay normal.Especially for the kids - that's been paramount since my aunt was first diagnosed - they wanted the kids to have as normal a home life as they cuold provide. Thinking about it they must have been about the same age as your niece and nephew when it all started if not a little longer. Ofcourse it's very much in your face all the time with brain tumors as it's affected her mobility, her speech, her memory and her co-ordination :(

mrs tine- i know from a prev post you have wooden floors in your house, do you have them in all the rooms or have you different flooring in bathroom/kitchen?

... i know not very pregnancy linked, but we're getting new flooring in and want something that will easy and quick to keep clean (for either of us ) once baby is here

Tiamai, can I have some enthusiasm if you find any? I really need to clean the rabbit out, but I'm so tired and I feel really sick. Just want to get back in bed!

Oh, funny thing happened when having BP took today - hand went huge and purple! Midwife said it was normal, but its never done that before.

I found some, but I don't think there is any left.... kids room is looking good though, and doesn't smell like pee anymore. My hand does that on the electronic trolly moniters looks gross

Krystal, Huge hugs, don't know what else to say.

Jillie, we have lamenite on the whole downstairs (livingroom hall and kitchen). Was put down for DS2 coming along. Only problem I had with it is that due to his mobility problems it was not the best thing for his learning to walk. But when his little friend used to visit and make explosive sicks, it was awesome! We were going to lift it up this year after the summer, but it will just stay now that there is another baby to be sick on it and then throw spaggy bol all over it :D Only thing I will say is that any rugs you get should be a dark colour as they catch all the dirt. And we have a natural coloured carpet on the stairs, so thats been a browny tone for a while now....

thanks tia. thats what i'm thinking, spilsl etc and i cnat go a week wthout knocking a glass over (always blackcurrant)
also we dont have a hallway, our front doos opens straight into the sitting room, so am thinking with a buggy/pram a carpet would egt dirty pretty quick. did think a rung owuld be nice as well
