well, funny you should say that Mel, erm, sorry haven't read any posts today, just happened to open the thread at this page, to let you all know that having had a couple of nigglies yesterday, from 11 am which I discounted as the real thing as the MW at my appt said I was still 3/5ths engaged. But they were sore and quite regular, so we carried on timing them.

By 5 am they were between 5-8 mins apart each time and I was not a happy weezl, so I phoned the MLU to request a home check (and eager to beg someone to bring round the entonox!)

First mw came at 6am, no gas and air and found me to be a disappointing 2cm. I was hoping, like MFD posted to be one of those stories you read about where you get examined and you're practically ready to push! She did however say she'd come back in 45 mins with gas and air and see where we were. So I soldiered on for a bit.

Blissful gas and air came duly, and was great, as was the tens in my experience.

We progressed fairly well for a first-time birth, and I think I hit transition to pushing stage at about 2.30 ish?

A very lovely Master Weezl made his way out at 3.37pm. No tears to my lady parts (so maybe the ole p massage is worth it?), but I am perched here fairly gingerly as I type!

He seems very sweet, and I look forward to getting to know him! He was 7lb 5 and has hair and v long fingernails.

Quite exhausted now, but would love to tell more story and read your news soon if I may still be kinda in the club.

ETA - Yes you can definitely stay in the 'club'... and I would love to hear more about the birth when you are up to it..esp as I am also having a HB
