Gosh I was up early this morning (before 7am  ) Guess I am going to have to get used to early mornings when the baby comes along! I am waiting for my new washing machine, can't wait for it to arrive as I have a HUGE pile of washing to do and I am starting to run out of clothes that fit me!

Well DH had to get up at silly o'clock this morning to get to the office for a stupidly early meeting (5am the alarm went off...) and I have been catnapping since *insert yawning emoticon* finally gave in at 8 after both lots of recycling bin men had been.
For some reason Roo has managed to move into a position where ANY bending is impossible - I couldn't even reach my socks this morning I had to lie back down, roll on to my side and stretch to get them!
Ah well... need to do some more washing today before lunch time when I have to leave for London and my appointment... bah!

  • Morning Girls and labour vibes to all those who need them.

Already up and bathed and DS2 is bathed too. Have the Cot Mattress being delivered today - the last thing I needed to buy - well except for double buggy but have decided to wait until bubs is here. So I have my bags packed and everything bought and still 5 weeks to go!!

OH put the cot up last night whilst I was at DS1's parents evening. Bubs will be in our room for the first year I think.

I actually got a really good nights sleep for the first time in weeks, despite awful hip ache and pelvic pain yesterday... Its still there so I think baby has it's head dug in somewhere...

Had the first antenatal class last night... We were 10mins late but I think that was good considering the rushing we had to do! Might see if I can pull Aimee out of swimming 5mins early next week, should just about scrape it on time then...

Was an interesting class anyway, nothing like the first time round... And they were talking about labour and how it will be for first timers... And it was nothing like my first labour! The midwife running it told me if Aimee came out in 3 pushes then this one will just fly out.... I can but hope! I also scared OH and the midwives by asking if it was true they would have to come out to me if I refused to leave the house when in labour ;) (This was after they told me it was ridiculous that I can't have a homebirth considering how straightforward my first one was...)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Labour vibes to you and MFD (and anyone else who wants them).

It still could be happening soon. I have the same pains for three nights running before baby arrived. On the first three nights, a bath calmed them down, hence me being in the bath at midnight on the night it was REAL! Only that time, the bath didn't calm them!

Waiting in for the midwife today to see how much weight Violet has put on. I think its a lot - her cheeks have really filled out now, and already, she's not looking like a newborn - iykwim!

I keep checking up on here to see if anyone has arrived - why am I so excited for my 'not real' friends!

A real friend had a little girl, Lexi, last night after being induced Monday morning - i really don't think she was in a hurry to come out and meet us!

Hi i posted a couple of months ago to say i was pregnant. I've just had my 12 week scan today and i'm so excited!
I'm hopefully going to breastfeed and i want a breastfeeding pillow as i didn't have one last time. Can anyone advise me on which one to get please? Thanks
    Charlie

Congrats on your scan - does it feel more real now?

I got one of those triangle 'V' shaped pillows from Argos to use for feeding and its working well, really comfy with the 'V' around your waist, and baby resting on it. I could do with another for behind me to lean on though! But two of those ones are still more MSE than the expensive proper breastfeeding ones i think.

    Mornign everyone

Am off to the hospital for monitoring again today. Am 16 days over (42+2) and really thought yesterday that last night might be the night, plenty of tightenings that were VERY strong (although irregular) and seemed to intensify when I was up and about. However went to bed and woke up this morning having had a fabulous night's sleep and no signs at all now! :(

I had almost convinced myself I was in early labour and kept worrying baby would just fall out of me because I wasn't having any pains and I'd be completely taken by surprise!:rolleyes::rolleyes: I also keep hoping for the "waking up in the night with contractions" scenario, then going downstairs, nesting in my quilt in front of the light of the fire being all cosy and warm and snuggly and everything happening with baby arriving at dawn :D Of course no baby of mine will ever do anything I want to happen LOL, DD1 was born in hospital and I delivered her myself all on my own born in her waters, DD2 was a planned HB and completely refused to budge so was 3 weeks late  and this one wants obviously to be like his littlest sister and stay completely put ;):D
