Right washing hung out (well one load is anyway... need to go buy some more pegs - half of mine are rusty and icky from having been left outdoors for a couple of months... whoopsie!
So... do I try and brave a trip to Tesco is the next question... mmmmmmmmmmmmm I ought to... and I guess if I do I could go dig out all my vouchers that are hiding somewhere upstairs first so I can get my Boots changing bag and any Tesco goodies if they haven't expired (thanks mollie you reminded me lol I'd have clean forgot!)

Right - voucher hunting! Cue indiana jones intro music!

Oooo, Sami, you beat me on the trolley cae thing!

As for the breast pump, we have a big Asda and I went to to baby event on the first day...and it was crap! Used up some nappy vouchers and bought the Johnsons box but never saw the breast pump! Oh well, least I didn't buy one for £20 eh?!

:D Don't worry rest assured I've been throwing my money away on lots of other things :o Will someone please keep me away from next!! I keep buying expensive things!!

Don't forget the Tesco baby even is still going, they have got lots of stuff, travel cots, prams, carseats, cribs, moses baskets, clothes, etc etc
I've just bought a new TT CTN steriliser (I already have one but its a bit tired and the hinges have snapped) - gonna keep it in the box and if I don't use it I'll put the whole thing on ebay and hopefully get my money back

You never know Sami, well obviously not about the blood group!
OK it;s highly unlikely, but is it really worth the risk?
Sorry I'm not trying to be rude :o

This made me think... I have a pregnant friend who refuses to have scans and the tests for spina bifida or Down's Syndrome. Her thinking is based around that whether there is something 'wrong' with baby or not, she would have baby anyway so the results of those particular tests and scans are of no importance to her.

I feel the same in principle but I have the scans and tests because I want to know if something is 'wrong' so I could mentally and practically prepare myself for it when baby is born. Just goes to show how people think differently about things I guess!

Although thinking about it Sami, are you also saying they won't be checking for iron/glucose levels as well?

Molly: if you are looking for something at a bit more height how about a swing? they take up more space but aren't so low down, although that one looks good

I was thinking of a swing instead. I have seen the Graco sweet peace one, but the price tag is just too much:

My peacocks tops came today and I am sooo disapointed, one has arrived in the wrong size, I'm sure I clicked the correct size but the invoice sheet doesnt agree. And the long sleeved one that I am wearing now and LOVE isn't available anymore! Its only short sleeved ones Boohoo! :rotfl: And the purple one is pink and not my tastes but DH thinks it's nice so will wear it for him.

Anyway, going to order a few more cowl necked ones (like what I am wearing) as they are nice and thick which is suprising for the price! And I like the sides, they have elastic sewn in so they stretch with the bump, but as I've only got a bloated belly at the moment that I can still suck in, I quite like the way they sit and would wear tham as normal tops if I wasn't pregnant.

    Gush over :D

I refused all the downs etc tests too, non of them are 100% except CVS and amnio and I personally just couldn't have either of those, so I don't see the need to worry about it. a 1 in 250 or 1 in 1000 doesn't make a difference to me although I completely understand why others have them :)

They wouldn't be testing my blood glucose anyway as I'm in the lowest risk possible for GD and I don't need a blood test to tell me an anemic a quick peak at the inside of my eye lids and I'll be pale if I am (an I was earlier in my preg) but eating steak and greens til they came out my ears sorted me out ;)

I have agreed to have the blood grp + antibodies and HB count done at around 30 weeks mostly to keep the MWs happy, they have been trying to get me to agree to these earlier but with me it's not just that I don't want them, I have a 2yr old son that needs to be looked after and I feint after having ANY blood loss and I'm not having my hubby take time of work and lose overtime payments because of some blood tests I don't see as necessary so they will be done when my mum is on half term and can come with me

I know I'm a bit anti-establishment for some but hey different strokes for different folks

    Don't worry I'm not offended :D
Its just I haven't done anything to put myself at risk no s*x with anyone other than my OH (who has only ever done the deed with me ;) and I trust him a million % on that! I always kno where he is there is no way on this earth he'd be able to get up to something with anyone else and he's far too shy to ever get near another woman) not had any blood transfusions, tattoos, piercings etc I'm as sure as eggs is eggs that I'm disease free ;)

I had the nuchal fold and a CVS and I'm not ashamed to admit that had my baby been diagnosed as downs or similar I would of probably terminated.
The circumstances around bubs conception and at the time I wasnt in a stable relationship it wouldn't of been fair to the baby or me to bring him into the world knowing that I didnt have the capacity to look after him properly.

Exactly, thats what it ultimately comes down to, of course we are going to naturally wonder why others do or dont do things the same, but IMO as long as we can take on board their resons wether we agree with them or not I think it's good to question peoples motives anyway as it gives a wider understanding.
Not that it's really annyone elses business anyway, I'm just a nosey cow and have no problem in answering peoples questions either :D
