    Big labour vibes to MFD!!!

Well, had my 29 week appointment with midwife (ie not at the hospital). She had a feel around of my tum and when I had the scan the other week, both twins were head down. She feels like one is head down and the others head is just below my ribs!! If so, it has moved so much! Get your head back down there!!

Before that howvere, I think I have finally finished off my babies shopping and have most of what I need. Best bargain was my Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature breast bump which I looked at the other month in Mothercare and on net - most seem around £20 mark - Morribobs (Morrisons) have them at half price!!! So got one. Went to Dunnes (not sure if this is a local or nationawide Matalan type store) where I picked up 2 x trolley cases small for hospital bags and as hand luggage on future flights to maximise what we can take with twins, for £14 each. Also picked up things like knickers, socks, slippers etc for hospital bag. Bought 2 x cot mobiles from Matalan, baby nail scissors and comb from Morribobs. Feel more content now. Will feel even more content once hospital bags are packed today/tom - just don't want to take any chances! :rotfl:

MrsTine - oh believe me I feel like a massive beached whale! But then I figure I have done for weeks now, a couple more won't make much difference - but remind me I said that next time I need a hand up from lying down/sitting up/getting in the car/picking stuff up :rotfl:

    - no not needed daily MW visits, it was suggested a few days ago somewhere along the line but as have been going to the hospital each day for monitoring I guess that would cover it.

Also they can insist but that doesn't mean you have to do what they're saying - I'm a consultant's worst nightmare by now I think...
yep daily hosp was mentioned too!
My medical peeps hate me I'm sure:p I'm 27wks and haven't given them a drop of my blood yet which they all find beyond comprehension
I had them all with my son last time - I'm pretty sure I haven't managed to suddenly change blood group, contract HIV/syphalis etc in the last 2yrs!!

You never know Sami, well obviously not about the blood group!
OK it;s highly unlikely, but is it really worth the risk?
Sorry I'm not trying to be rude :o

Sami-Bee - my DD needs to see an orthoptist too. She has a lazy eye and we are currently patching her for 4 hours a day. Poor thing. She started just after her third birthday :(

I had my 20 week scan today (actually 19 + 3) but nevermind. The woman has booked me in for another scan in two weeks' time as she said she couldn't get a good enough view of the heart. Everything else was fine. Is it naive of me to think that it is fine just a scan for confirmation or is it that there might be a problem but she doesn't want me to worry about it? I saw it beating so it is definitely working! Oh, and we are team pink again. DH was pleased and I was surpised as I thought it would be a boy this time. Anyway, on the practical side, we already have a house full of pink and dolls so in the short term, it's MSE. DH did mention that the long term would mena another wedding to pay for but i guess we will worry about that nearer the time!

    Quick question ladies -

I am already a member of the Tesco baby and toddler club, but the baby basket voucher ran out before I had chance to use it. Do you think I could apply again in my husbands name, eventhough its the same address, EDD etc? I suppose its worth a try!

I found this baby bouncer http://www.byyoursideseat.com/
I have been looking for a higher bouncer chair, as I find it hard to bend down low and lift from the floor.
This one is much higher than a usual bouncer chair and is useful for people who have had c-sections and can't bend down, Or if you have pets & toddlers that you are worried about being at babies level. It seems to be only widely available in USA, but have found some Smyths toy shops in the UK stocks them (listed in their catalogue, but not on their website).
I wondered if any one else had found anything similar?

ahh Ickle you missed so much recently :p
I just got one of those hand luggage trolley cases for £10 in tesco
and the breast pump was £10 in asda baby event last month :o
I wouldn't worry about one of the twinnies being felt as bum down some MWs are pants at telling the difference between bums and heads so she could be one of those ones :D

As we were talking about slippers yesterday I spotted some (unfortunately in a dodgy coral colour) in tesco £1.75 they were like those ones you get free in posh hotels - anyone else nick them? :D

Sami - how quickly did that flurry come down?!!! One minute it was sunny the next everything is covered in thick snow. Rang OH at home - nothing

Workinmummy - that's awful  . At work we have 2 MW's on a Thursday afternoon with 20mins for booking in but at my surgery they are there all day Thursday with an hour for booking in. If you are in the WN4 area PM me and I could see what I can do.

MFD - here are some big ole labour vibes coming your way! (Nice and easy ones of course)

Was violently sick and couldn't get off toilet last night - was shivering as well. Rang butty shop today who apologised but said they buy all their ready cooked meat from ASDA - only 2 other people had it and so far they haven't complained. Normally got the stomach of any OX but not any more - they have offered me a free sandwich next time but haven't had time to go today.
Just had our annual complaints and satisfaction meeting (snoring smilie)
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Oooo, Sami, you beat me on the trolley cae thing!

As for the breast pump, we have a big Asda and I went to to baby event on the first day...and it was crap! Used up some nappy vouchers and bought the Johnsons box but never saw the breast pump! Oh well, least I didn't buy one for £20 eh?!

    Don't worry I'm not offended :D
Its just I haven't done anything to put myself at risk no s*x with anyone other than my OH (who has only ever done the deed with me ;) and I trust him a million % on that! I always kno where he is there is no way on this earth he'd be able to get up to something with anyone else and he's far too shy to ever get near another woman) not had any blood transfusions, tattoos, piercings etc I'm as sure as eggs is eggs that I'm disease free ;)

Molly: if you are looking for something at a bit more height how about a swing? they take up more space but aren't so low down, although that one looks good

I picked up some nice slippers in Debenhams this morning - they were £5 with 20% off, so £4 :D
