  • :D Hello :D

Back from the MW and having some lunch. Pains still there and getting worse...although nothing like what I think labour should be like so it could still be a false alarm!

MW gave me a sweep and said that this could be early labour or it might not

Can't for the life of me think of what else she said other than my cervix was soft and pointing the right way. She can feel Bubbas head (bang goes any chance of getting jiggy thanks MW - hubby's eyebrows shot off the top of his head!!

She gave me a good old firking - not very comfortable but I was lying back thinking of Bubba! Then the student midwife (same one I have been seeing at my mw appointments for ages) had a go too!! Does that give me twice the chance of going full-blown in the next 24 hours??

She clearly hadn't read the part of the script where she says 'oh my, Mrs MFD, you are 4cm dilated already, your high pain threshold must prevent you from feeling too much. Get yourself off to the hospital sharpish young lady, I will call ahead and tell them to start the birth pool running...your Bubba will be here by tea time' :D
That must be my next appointment!

Whatever is going on it hasn't happened before and it is not comfortable!!

I feel a bit better now hubby been home and I had a good cry. Not been sleeping to well as asthma is playing up. He's told me to go to bed and try to rest (bless him).

:j:rotfl:I'm not sure jiggy would make much difference now anyway, just a matter of waiting. What did ur hubby think of his wife having 2 ladies hands up her foof? :o

while out I remembered a tip my mum passed on to me; pack 2 different coloured flannels in your hosp bag then you can use a dark one for lady bits and lighter one for body;) She's a wise one my mummy:D

Resting sounds like a good idea! I'm off to the hospital (Consultant, Anaesthetist and Physio today!) then I can come home and have a nap for a few hours. I'm dozing off already here, and I only got up at 11am.

I'm alright, bit of pain with pelvis, but anxiety is quite manageable at the moment. I've got my birth plan sorted, and most of the baby things ready, so it would appear that this is really going to happen! Only 47 days (Hopefully a few more!) to go!

He's got a ton of stuff on his mind at the moment so has gone back to the office (it's hilarious really, he has barely let me out of his sight for the last few weeks and now he is all running about like a headless chicken). It is also DSS's parents evening at 4pm so I am hoping to be fine until later on!

He did ask last night if I wanted him to leave the room whilst I had the sweep - I told him he was going to be seeing worse things very soon so he may as well get used to it!

Liking the flannel tip - have made hubby leave my hospital bags behind just in case so I may well pack a couple.

It is scary to look at weekends. Only 7 weekends - two I'm visiting parents, one visiting brother, one visiting Grandparents, one antenatel, that only leaves two free weekends!
