  • Hi guys,

Is it Ok if i just get in and post with a huge moan :( sorry if i bring everyone down. I am terribly upset and I don't know how much more I can take of this. I am so so run down. I have had coldsore after coldsore since I started this pregnancy due to it and now I have so many on my top lip it hurts to open it. Am sick of being so run down. I don't know what else I can do! I am taking prenatal vitamins and am in bed before 10pm most nights but I am still really struggling. My OH is marvelous and is trying to keep the house ticking over while taking over pretty much all the parenting of my DS (14mths). I barely see my son and its upsetting me to the point it's making me cry. I don't know what to do to get out of this downer. Am chuffed to bits to be pregnant again but this is just so hard.

Feel really bad for moaning when my friend is struggling to concieve but it's really hard this time. I don't know what else i can do. My MW is on holiday this week so I am trying to get in at the doctors but can't today and can't take much more. I need to feel better. I can't be effective in my job am struggling to keep on top of the hosuework (which OH is a diamond with all that but he can't do everything). More to the point I miss playing with my son.

Help me. Tell me i will have energy soon. Am also crying as it feels like I am worst mummy in world as every time DS comes up for a kiss i cant kiss him because of all the coldsores. See am crying again now as seeing his little face when I can't do it breaks my heart. Thet story about the mum whose baby died with the coldsore is worrying me sick too which isn't helping.

Hi ladies! Need to ask a question to see what you lot would do.

We were getting the Silver Cross 3D pram with the matching car seat and we went to pay the last of the money off the nursery plan on Saturday (we'd added more stuff to it). The whole lot was due to be delivered on the 16th of March.

Since we first ordered the pram, we got a new car (we've now got a Vectra) and the SilverCross seat doesn't fit. (Good job I thought to check!)

The ONLY seat that will fit our car is a Maxi Cosi Cabrio, so we wanted to change the pram as we wanted a seat that would clip onto the pram.

Decided on the Maxi Cosi Mura which they have on sale at the mo for £295 for the pram, the hard carrycot, the footmuff and the bag. (That's £200 off everything if sold separately)

There are none anywhere in stock though, but we have been offered the whole Maxi Cosi package for £265 which is the price we had paid for the Silver Cross pram (minus car seat), so we don't have to pay anything extra. The only thing is, we would have to take the shop display pushchair.

They said normally, shop display pushchairs on their own can be sold with a discount, but they don't normally sell them at a discount if there is a bundle (as everything else in this bundle is brand new), however they are willing to for us because they know how much hassle we had with trying to get a car seat to fit.

Would you go for it? I've actually fallen in love with the pram now, it's bloody solid and looks lovely and most if not all reviews online say it is fantastic.

This is the pram (the little pics to the side show everything in the bundle)

    http://www.mothercare.com/Maxi-Cosi-Mura-3-wheeler-Atlantic-selected/dp/B0018O27QM/sr=1-5/qid=1235993419/ref=sr_1_5/277-4208274-3345350?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42764041&mcb=core

P.S. I've had a look on Kiddicare, and for the same pram and carrycot in the same colourway (not bag or footmuff), just those would cost £300.

I need to know by tonight as they are holding it all for us now x

So, what's your question then? :rotfl:

Haven't seen this one in the flesh myself, but if you love it, it fits in your car, you've had a play in the shop and it handles OK, and you're getting a good price on it, why are you hesitating?

I guess all I can say is it will get easier - but i'm only going on this pregnancy as it's my first :) the first 18 weeks were hell... morning sickness and feeling so down, tired and poorly was very draining. Apart from the back and hip problems (and work....) then I have to say 20 weeks onwards was when I really started enjoying the pregnancy thing. I don't know if that's normal or not but for me at least there was finally hope at the end of the tunnel.

I think def see the doctor though - does sound like you're a little run down :)

The question was 'Would you go for it?' :p

What I mean is, is the discount enough and would it put anyone off because the pushchair is shop display?

I'm hesitating because I like everything brand new lol

The only other options I have are :

Staying with the 3D pram but then having to carry the car seat around when we go out.

Getting the Maxi Cosi pram in a different colourway, but for everything it will cost over £500 x

 you can guarantee their kid will be one of the ones I can't stand that doesn't know how to hold a knife and fork coz he's only ever been allowed to stab at his yellow food with a fork
I'm a bit tight and don't let Chris eat his breakfast himself coz he does make a complete mess but he feeds himself lunch and tea sat at his little table and yes he used to faff about with carrot sticks and fling bits of grapes etc all over the show but thats what they do! - If you don't want to spend the rest of your days cleaning up don't have any kids :p

hehe! When my DS2 (Christopher) was starting to feed himself he had a helmet to treat his Plagio. We had to always take it off after he finished eating as he 'stored' food up it for later.

I hate jars. Made my own as it was simple and fitted in with our lifestyle better than jarred food. Used the little pots of fruit puree and the heinze pots of real veg, the rest was whatever we were having cooked a bit different. Oh and loads of spaggy bol in the freezer as he loved it (and his little jar fed friend used to steal pots of it for a change).
