  • Bit upset us SIL (brothers OH) has posted on facebook that she is finally an auntie. Her brothers ex girlfriend had a baby on Tuesday but I have always considered her an auntie to my children. Do you think I am reading too much into it -as when I read it I had to hold back the tears.

I am probably being a bit over emotional - but I am thinking if she isnt an auntie to my children she can sod off!!

She may just have meant that that particular baby had finally arrived???

Try not to take it to heart hun - I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it (we can all write daft stuff on facebook which we regret as soon as we hit return!

hello weezl, i feel huge and puffy and stroppy and backachey, but apart from that all good!!! part of me cant wait but the other part wont stop stressing that we need more time even though absolutely everything is done! how are you finding the last couple of weeks? x

I relate to the stressy feeling of not readiness! Haven't bought any of the terry nappies I was gonna use, only liners and plastic outers!

House is covered in scaffold and have many trades around... I keep getting down to paint skirtings and then having great fun getting back up again.

Symptoms-wise, can't work out if I've got late pregnancy backache or if it's the overly firm new ikea mattress that came yesterday! Had a really sore night, but lay there telling myself, 'it's the mattress not the baby, not the baby, not the baby!!!'.
Well done you that everything is done, I admire that! :T:T:beer:

Haven't got to your stage MFD, erm, if it's not tmi, what exactly happens if you do try closing the legs? Do you feel resistance?!

SIL annoyed me, when I announced that I was having a boy. She updated her status to say 'X is thrilled to be having ANOTHER nephew'. She kept going on about how it'd be great if I had a girl, and made out like it was a bad thing that I'm having a boy! So what if there are already three boys in the family, I'm thrilled!

I think some people just don't think when they post, I wouldn't have thought any offence was meant.

Perhaps she doesn't want to 'presume' Auntie status? I know my Brothers Girlfriend never used that term, despite me thinking of her as an Auntie. Maybe they don't want to refer to themselves as Aunties and then get told off?

Caz I'd go for it with making a sling there are loads of forums with help and instructions to help you! I bought one coz I don't trust my stitches to be strong enough but it is just a long piece of fabric with to rings sewn at one end :)

  • Right back from the scan and a quick update before we run for the train. Bean was curled up so much on top of my bladder they could do half the checks they needed to, couldn't see kidneys, heart and a load of other things and they couldn't get it to move so going back next week!

Quick glad in one way as I thought the sonographer (sp) was a bit pants and would explain / let me see anything so hopefully it will be better next week.

Also due to my medical history have been told that I'm high risk (what ever that means) so will be scanned again at 28, 32 & 36 weeks (this is going to cost me a fortune in scan pics - LOL)

Anyway, off to the baby show - hope you all have fab weekends :D
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same
  • She has been with my brother 10 years and my kids and my niece and nephew all call her auntie.

I have to physically lift my bump up to close them (when I am sat on a dining chair like I am at the moment!) and as soon as Bubba realises that I am not going to let him 'relax' he starts pushing and poking at me until I do!

She IS an aunty already!!! That doesn't make sense to me I'd comment on her status "what about your niece/nephew I produced x years ago??"
but I'm not one to shy away from a fight

although the ration thought is she pressed go before she typed "again" was said baby very overdue?? or is her bro a bit of a batchelor that she thought would never settle down?
