i just had my midwife appt, she was really nice! she couldnt feel anything so im probably not even 12 weeks yet, im really dissappointed as it means im just really fat!

i have to take my wee home with me too and reuse the bottle i dont mind though it seems silly to throw the bottles away each time. i also had to take the lid off and hold the bottle for her!

My bottle gets rinsed out and given back to me. What does freak me out is that the MW doesn't wear gloves when handling the sample!

Seems they are always one extreme or the other, doesn't it!

  • My rabbit is a bit sad. Another big box of baby things arrived, and he looked at it so hopeful! He is used to every box being full of things for him. Think he is a bit jealous!

what rabbit... I think I have missed something here.....
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
    DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz

mine are shocking too, i've seen 5 now and they keep referring me to my doctor instead, had really low blood pressure which nobody picked up on til my OH's dad (a paramedic) looked at my notes and nearly had a fit! also had protein in urine since 16 weeks and it took til 32 weeks for someone to send some for testing even though i told them i thought i had a UTI! on the urine subject, does anyone elses midwife test urine and then give it back to you instead of tipping it out and rinsing the tube? everytime i go i have to ask her to do it and they make a bit of a fuss about it, sorry but i've carried it around in my bag already by this point i dont want to take it home again!!

Emlou yes mine does too... mine won't even empty it out and clean it if asked so count yourself lucky!

I am torn between wanting this baby out ASAP and wanting it to stay inside as long as possible, because it is 'easier'...Is that just silly of me? Especially considering I have been desperate for another baby for so long.

    Mel x

Mel, I say to Fergus every day that he can't come out yet! ;)

MFD I am still sending you all my labour dust, have the twinges become anything yet? :j

Feelie, hope you're stil feeling better?

Tiamai, I did a nutritional challenge on old-style last year and did quite a bit of research on Folic acid, your diet already sounds full of the right things, but I'm happy to dig out any other articles for you if you'd like.:D

Mrs Tine, Hoovered away all the horrid camphor now, so hopefully the bad taste will go soon! Thanks for the advice :A

I know... I will get up early tomorrow and start glugging the water... best not overdo the squash as it's not sugarfree  I did drink plenty this morning i thought but hohum :) My veins ARE notorious for being difficult... which is why when i go in to have Roo I am just going to ask for the IV to be set up right away... because last thing I want is for them to struggle in an emergency and end up having to go for bigger veins

  • Weezl - it hasn't turned into anything more than twinges, but he is now so low that I have to sit with my legs apart (sorry TMI ladies!)

Got a bit more work to finish off then I am wavering between doing a bit of ironing or hula hooping on the Wii??
