OH decided he didn't want pancakes after I went out at bought the batter mix especially. Will have them in the week instead. Yours sound good though - I want one!! Mine were just going to be with honey and lemon.
I have an electric one - I give myself a 2 all over and use the foil one (yeah I know it's for my legs) around my 'bikini line'.
Guess what? I've managed to save £500 this month towards baby fund! Dead chuffed with myself as I generally go overdrawn - all from cutting out the carp and junk! Also, getting paid for 21 hrs overtime and £50 mileage!!!
Also, spoken with someone who is sure I will get full pay whilst off on mat leave so - might even be able to save up enough to take a full 12 months off. How awesome would that be .....A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
LOL money maker I think it's each to their own
Personally I want to BF if I can - I just think that nature gave me these lumps for a reason... and they're not just window dressing or extra safety features in case of carcrashes... (or drowning). And then there is the MSE aspect... breast milk is obviously free and the HUGE plus is that apparently it helps you loose the spare weight ultra fast - if I'm real lucky I might get back in a size 12! (Well I can dream can't I!)

Worked out that if it hurts it ain't right. Always makes me laugh how when they get a bit older and you go to put them on they open their mouths and their head goes from side to side really qiuckly in absolute desperation for it, it's so lovely.
As to not BF, I've always believed that if your not comfortable with it don't do it. Can't see how the milk can come through properly if you're uptight. Don't be pushed into it as we are all different. That's only my opionion BTW.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

I seem to have it in my head that it will hurt like hell and I can't cope with pain, but its more than that aswell
Very hard to explain !!
Have you ever watched a lady breastfeed? One thing my Mum recommended was going to one of the breastfeeding groups for pregnant ladies and new Mums, and having a watch of other people doing it. Might help you work out why you are scared, and work out if it is something you can (or want to) work around.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
As for being a bad mum, that's rubbish. One of the main reasons for me is easiness. I'm far too lazy a mum to be getting up in the night to heat a bottle or thinking to remember to pack one to go out. All that sterilizing and being organised, now who's rubbish!Too many children, too little time!!!0

Yeah, a lot of my friends BF their kids, so I have plenty of people to talk to and learn from, but I think it is too inbuilt in me now !!! Can't see me changing my mindThe two best things I have done with my life

I didn't do very well feeding Chris and gave up even tho I wanted to do it.
My MWs/HVs weren't very supportive and as a first time and young mum I was too shy to go to the BFing support drop in. All I needed was to be told what was happening was normal (which it was) but they just kept saying what ever you choose we'll support that decision  ie. give him a bottle and stop taking up so much of my time :mad:0 -
I agree with Sami though, even if you can manage the first couple of days I think that's supposed to be good but ask your MW. Both my sisters have 3 kids, neither BF and all 6 kids have asthma. Ask your MW what BM can do to prevent allergies as I seem to remember something. I was jus 16 when I had DD but I was lucky and managed nearly 8 months with her. She was a chunky baby too and the health visitor told me off at 6 months for weaning her with the wrong foods as she was getting a bit tubby. I hadn't even started at that point, premium stuff my milk!Too many children, too little time!!!0

I had thought of trying for a few days untill my milk comes in, but I had a VERY traumatic birth which ended in several infections in my section scar after DD and I was bed bound for 2 weeks !!!
Don't want to go though any trauma with this one, as I am hoping that I will bond quicker this time round, and have kind of just made my mind up that by bottle feeding, I will have 1 less thing to worry about:o
My hubby would like me to try to BF this time as his mum BF all of her lot, whereas my mum bottle fed me and my sister and is of the opinion that I should be able to do what I feel comfortable with.
I guess I have another 16 weeks to change my mindThe two best things I have done with my life
