    hi all,

firstly, congrats to krujam on your new arrival.

secondly, pains on friday didn't amount to anything so bubs is still tucked up nice and cosy.

sami - sorry to read about your ceiling troubles.

    hope everyone is well.

i am now on my last week of work and i cant see it being a quite one, so much to get through, but no doubt i will get there.

    another check with GP tonight.

strange thing though, MW said to have 38 week check at GP (as of next friday) and then they will see me at 40 weeks. i haven't discussed birth plan with any of the MWs as that is what was meant to happen before BP was up and protein found.

i am pretty relaxed in my plan but would still like to discuss it before 40 weeks. not sure whether to buck the trend and just book with the midwife at 38 weeks or not. my gp is brilliant, but of course not a midwife.

    afternoon all

I have read back but can't remember what I was going to comment on:rolleyes:

I love the name Layla, I had that on my long list of girls names, but dh wasn't keen:( I also love lilia, so a bit similar to. Anyway I must forget about girls names.

Caz i'm glad your lovely lady is more satisfied now and giving you a bit of a rest:)

I can't stop I have just got back from town with my iphone so I am going to try and set it up myself:rotfl: I am not at all technically minded so this should be fun.

    Mel x

Im another who's abit wary of putting on a tonn of weight. I lost 2 stone last year and have kept every lb off so worried it will all pile on again  My 1st pregnancy I was only 16 and very naeive (sorry, prob wrong spelling!) I didn't realise I couldn't actually eat for 2, I was abit chunky to start with but I ended up putting on 3stone. Tried to lose it after but I wasn't working at that point so mostly ended up sat on my backside most of the day so I didn't lose much. Ds came along 5years later..that time I was aware of what happened last time and tried to limit the damage. Think I put on 2-2.5 stone but I managed to breasfeed for 7months so lost the weight quite quickly and without much effort. This time, I am not eating extra food (theres no need to is there?) Im more active day to day now,and I plan to breast feed/express again so hopefully HOPEFULLY I won't put much weight on.

Following on from that..does anyone know..if a woman doesn't put much weight on and then goes on to breastfeed..will the fat for milk production come from old fat in the body? Or does it have to come from new fat, specially laid down early on,for that purpose?
love my little man he is amazing :j

Well I've busied myself with Freecycling stuff today - hopefully that'll clear some space :) Also have stuff that needs to go on Ebay but need to brave the stairs to get to them so that can wait till after lunch :) Stairs are painful too so just having to plan any trips up them carefully!
Might get one of them gymballs to sit on at home... loads of people have suggested them so might be worth a try... :)

I'm trying to curb my eating at the moment but finding it very hard - I just can't stop craving food suddenly... And especially sweet things! Which to me is odd as I've been off sweet things up until just under a month ago but suddenly my need for them have gone through the roof!
Trying to fill the void with fruit but it's not quite cutting it :)

Helen you only need an extra 200 cals and thats only in the (i think) 3rd trimester. The answer will be on babycentre I'm sure!
I reckon if starving people in africa can manage to breast feed you not having put on weight on during preg will matter :D - Glad you managed to poop :D

Mel - I want an iphone!!!! Contract not up until July tho :(
Lilia was on my list but at number 4 :D

oh I used the name genie site to ask for a middle name to go with isabella and it gives a this of 3 the 2nd suggestion was Eden - it must be fate :D

EDIT - Why am I grinning like a cheshire cat through out this post

MrsTine - I was always one to try and carry everything up the stairs in one go. OH put a stop to that, but is quite lazy with taking things. I just say 'I'm sure I'll be fine to carry it' and he rushes and does it for me! I tend to go up on hands and knees, much more comfortable on the pelvis.

I'm loving the nesting thing, its brilliant! I've struggled with housework for a long time because of my depression, so it might not sound like a big deal, but for the past SIX DAYS there has been no mess in this house! I've washed up after every meal!

Can I ask what is good about the gymballs? I've got one from (somewhere!) from one of my many weightloss attempts. Should I be sitting on it?

Helen81 - My Mum has always been on the big side, and the only time she has been slim is while breastfeeding! She never put much on while pregnant, and easily lost all that (and more!) with breastfeeding. I was looking at photos the other day, and four months after the birth, she was slimmer than before. At four months, I've got Brothers (very posh and scary Top-Hat type) Wedding, so I'm hoping to be a size 8 for then! :D

Mel - OH got his new iPhone the other day, and its very fun to play with! Some really silly free apps too, we stayed up late one night playing with ones that make silly noises. I've got fat fingers, so found it a bit tricky, but there is a free 'Target Practice' app which is good to get your accuracy up.

AF - Will be glad when you finish work and we can stop worrying! What is it with all these pregnant ladies and hard work?! I took to the sofa at the first opportunity. Did Birth Plans get mentioned at the Antenatel classes? That is where you write them here, there isn't a specific appointment to do it, and my MW wasn't that interested. If you just need a run through, I'd go with a MW appointment at 38 weeks, seems sensible. Or do you have a Community Midwife Team you can call, to check what to do?

Sami - Thats the sort of kid I want Toby to turn out like! We are late to bed, late to rise folk, and 10:37 would be perfect for us! Hows things with the ceiling, when will it get sorted you think?

Jacksons Mum - I shall be awaiting news next wednesday! How far along do you think you are?

Jillie - I was like Weezl and had a fear of buying things too. I'm starting to get over it, I have a few bits and pieces now! The girls here were right, once I bought the first thing, it got much easier. I've got some ironing to do, feel free to send DH round when he is done with yours.

slscarborough - I like Caitlin, very pretty name. Can't comment on boys' names, it was hard enough choosing one for mine, let alone other babies! Well done on the bag packing. I've got so far as getting a bag, now just need to put things in it!

Durham - Lots of labour vibes to you! Make sure you tell us at the first sign of things happening.

nessquic80 - How strange with the third pregnancy, funny how these things happen isn't it? Well done you on being super organised too!

Searching - 8am is just too early, don't know how you managed it! An hour less sleep that normal means I'm dozing off by lunchtime. Hope you've got your easy day though!

Krystal - Hope the GTT goes okay today. So mean of them to starve pregnant ladies isn't it?

Weezl - You made me laugh saying you've got gripe water. My Nan is a gripe water nut, she can't get near a baby without trying to give it some!

I want a bakewell tart and custard now. Sorry for all those I've forgot, I would go back a bit further as I'm sure there is other stuff I wanted to comment on, but I'm hungry and must find food!
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.
  • I have to be ready as having my bathroom and kitchen refitted between 10th - 28th March. Housing Association decided to spring that on me today so better hope bubs doesnt come early. No they reackon everything will be pretty much sorted by the 17th just leaving the finishing touches. I so hope this all goes to plan!!
