Possible £50 for car or home insurance mystery shopping

I have completed all of my calls. Did not have to hold to get through to any of the 6 companies and the longest call was 20 minutes, the shortest was 12. Had an e mail to say 2 to 3 weeks to process data and then cheque will be sent out. The calls were made via a freephone number so I have not had to pay for these and I have 6 quotes for car insurance, not bad.

I've finished mine too. from signing up to be accepted took all of 24hrs.

From starting the 6 quotes to finishing the surveys took no more than 2hrs.

By my reckoning when the £50 cheque arrives i will have earned the equivalent of close to £50k per year - not bad.

As for reporting it on my tax return (as a previous poster said we must do) - yeah sure - i'll say my kids did the work for me and i had to pay them the £50, no profit = no tax. hehehe

Just hope the cheque arrives now !

I got an email today saying my cheque is in the post. Will update to let you know if I get it.

I applied, was accepted. I then had the survey about Halal insurance and ticked no so I thought it would be the end of the matter. But then Got a 5 page E-mail on the 19th.

So I rang 6 companies, filled in the 8 surveys on the net and recieved an E-mail back saying I would get paid in about 3 weeks.

I fitted me to a tee as my insurance was up for renewal on 01 March and I had not decided who to go with. I also learnt a few things about insurance from one of the companies that I phoned. I would have taken my cover with one of them if they had phoned me back at the time I asked but they did not so in the end I used one of the compare websites and found the cover I wanted at the best available price.

Today I recieved this.

Many thanks for recently completing our mystery shopping project on motor insurance; your input has been of great value to our research.

I am pleased to be able to inform you that your payment has been authorised and your cheque for £50 has been sent via 2nd class mail today Tuesday 10th March. Should you have any problems with your payment please do not hesitate to contact me via return email.

I would like to ask, if you have been satisfied with your payment and the process of the mystery shopping exercise, would you kindly post a blog on the Money Saving Expert website this will help us recruit shoppers in the future and allay any preconceptions of this being a scam. If you are not satisfied in any way at all please let me know how you feel we can make things work better in the future.

I have no reason to think its a scam but I will let you know when I recieve the cheque. The only reason I could think of it being a Scam was if they wanted us to do the work and not pay the money to us.

I did this mystery shop and it was an easy £50. they will send me the money this week. Just allow a good 4 hours to do the work. They will want more people later so ensure you sign up

at the end of February i showed an interest in becoming a mystery shopper for above site,by begining of march i had been asked to complete a survey on insrance companies,it was extremley easy to complete,full straightforward instructions given,it took me about 1 and a half hours to complete over a few days.today i have been notified that my payment has been sent out to me a £50 cheque.

I signed up too after seeing the post on this website. Took around 4 hours to get all the motor insurance quotes but the correspondence I've had from Shirley Cooley at consumerintel has been very polite and professional. I too have been told to expect a cheque in the next week.

I'd be happy to recommend others to do the same and hope that I get the opportunity to participate more in the future.

I did the survey a couple of weeks ago and got an email today (10th) to say my £50 was on its way.It took less than 2 hours to do the survey and was very easy and I am hoping they might use me again in the future.

Followed the link, registered and completed the surveys without any hassle - actually managed to find really cheap car insurance as well! Email from Shirley today confirming £50 on it's way - shops here I come! Really straightforward process - easiest £50 ever earned!:j
