Hi everyone! Could I join this thread, please? I've signed up to start U211 in October - I'm a bit concerned that it's going to be rather difficult, and it's a long time since I wrote a proper essay! Still, I must be positive!

Hope you are all still enjoying your courses!

Hi I am studying Human Biology and dont mind admitting finding it a real struggle, had very bad Tma results, got my final one back today and tutour comments were saying you will have to do well in exam. I posted on ou forum that i felt like not doing the exam, as my son is in and out of hosp, and trying to do an essay whilst on a ward isnt easy, or trying to revise. and after todays comments feel like it will be no point.
tutour got back to me and confirmed that I would be right to pull out of the exam..

    what would you do?..

98sidney: have you tried contacting your regional centre for advice?

Def agree with tiddles, contact your regional centre, as under the circumstances they may be able to allow you to miss the exam and take it on the next sitting.
Or another thought if you can sit the exam, ask under the circumstances if you can take the exam at home with an invidatuor, the learner support team r brilliant.

Thou I've done 3 courses the one now will be the 1st exam, I'm disabled, on crutches and no way I could cope with normal exam conditions, so they make special arrangements, it all gets planned in advance, but may help in the future.

I had gd news, doing B201 Business + Environments just got 90% in my last TMA

Don't forget, you can fill in a Form 39 if you've had problems like this before an exam or a TMA. It can bump your score up a little ;)...might help just that bit more. There's one in the back of the exam details/information booklet you get sent, or you can speak to your tutor or even email the the OU.

Anyone have their exam today? I had my exam for KYN273 in Nottingham today :o

Hope I've done enough today . The past 4 yrs are coming to an end now :T

I did DB123 and loved it! The book seems hugely thick at first though, and there's loads to read.

This autumn, I'm doing MST121 _pale_ and BU130

That's the only reason I'm doing it!

I currently have my Certificate in Business Studies, and my end goal is to get a degree in Business. But if I want to get anything in between, I need BU130 :(
