It's not a cheap course either. I managed to save £1200 in Tesco Clubcard vouchers so that made the dent in the bank balance more bearable. Not sure where I am going to find the funds for W201 yet....

That made a gd dent in the bill, are u entitled to any funding towards the course?

Nope. I did a law degree years ago so am not entitled to any funding. If I hadn't done, then I would be  .

I found a few when I studying the course so I reported them. Have also found a few errors in W200 and today a spelling mistake on an European Court of Justice judgment (on the official site). Just working out who to report it to :rotfl:

The ECJ probably has an excuse as people are likely to speak more than one language fluently, however the OU doesn't.

:rotfl:And to think that these manuals are proofread as well; that's quite a few people who are not spotting the mistakes.

I did the B120 Business studies, DB123 U+ ur money, that covered the Cert in Business, same time was doing W100 Intro to Law got Certificate in that.

On B201 at mo, that finishes Oct, but start B203 Sept, if I pass those I think thats the Diploma, but I still need that damm BU130 for something,

Trying to tie the courses into as many qualifications as poss.

You'll need BU130 for your Diploma, as that's my problem too!

I'm intending to do B201 and B203 next year to get my Diploma, so you're about a year ahead of me.

Is this a better route for diploma ,. doing B120 and BU130 covers Certificate in Business Studies (Code: C63)

Then use both of them B120 and BU130 for the diploma (code: E42)

And then doing Business functions in context B203 & B201,

or should i skip BU130 and do B201 in order to get the 60 points out the way, ummm tricky i know i wont have the Certificate then untill I pass BU130,

Don't forget, you can fill in a Form 39 if you've had problems like this before an exam or a TMA. It can bump your score up a little ;)...might help just that bit more. There's one in the back of the exam details/information booklet you get sent, or you can speak to your tutor or even email the the OU.

Anyone have their exam today? I had my exam for KYN273 in Nottingham today :o

Hope I've done enough today . The past 4 yrs are coming to an end now :T

Hi, hope you pass your KYN273!
Can you give me some more info bout this form 39 please? i had medical probs before K101 exam, and have managed to get week extension on final TMA for K225 due to just having major gynae surgery and being off my head on medication:o

The reviews seem to suggest that you should do BU130 fairly early. B203 and B201 are supposed to be harder, so you might also benefit from the "practise" of essay writing and studying that comes from doing more courses before them.

    Hi
The best bet would be ur 1st suggestion (C63), gets both level ones out of the way, snd u gsin the cert, then do the 2 x level 2 and get the dipolma, as you can count the level 1.

The B201 is almost like the B120 again, I've done 4 tmas so far lowest mark was 67 (did miss half a question out, totally lost the plot, you get marks for the tutor formum, and the tmas 1,2,3,were essay format, no 4 was report (best mark got 90%), no 5 could be thrown out of the window.

I'll have to do the Bu130, but to me that feels like I'm going backwards + not 4ward. x
