Well done mummyroys 3 and Gemzie!

I got my first result back, a small computer marked assignment for SK124 and got 94%, which obviously I'm really happy about but just hope it's not downhill from here!

I've gone a bit crazy and registered for ED209 Child Development starting in Feb, and I'm doing U212 at the same time AND DSE141 won't have finished by then! I don't know why I feel all in a panic because I haven't really any reason to try and get this degree asap but I think while the enthusiasm is there and I have no distractions to prevent my study (apart from work!) and I'm managing my time very well so far I might aswell jump in the deep end and hope it's OK! It probably won't be, but I've wasted too much time regretting stuff so lets just go with the flow :-)

I am a year behind you Floxxie. I have just completed W201 and due to start W300 in February (on the basis I have passed!). It is such hard going with work and kids, most of the people in my group have retired or don't work so it is nice to know I am not the only one! Good luck for your results and hope you are able to fund next year - it is so expensive isn't it! xx

Good luck with W300 penguin83. I've just got my result back and got a distinction so just one to go :) and I have been awarded discretionary funding for W301 so all good news.

Littlestar - you can do the final DSE141 piece early and then submit it as it's a ECA.

  • Pleased to say I've passed EK310 and that's got me a diploma in childhood & youth studies (combined with U212, which I had done previously). Onwards to ED209. Hope it's not a toughie!

Sounds good to me! You can help me with U212 and we'll fight ED209 together :T congrats on the diploma, since you've already done level 3 study this should be a walk in the park ;) I'm doing ED209 for my psych degree, my previous study has already covered ED209 for my Childhood and Youth Studies degree (but I can't get credit transfer for ED209 for a psych degree! Odd!)

Gemzie, our final TMA is due 8 May, I understand I can submit that early as I've already got the question and stuff but the iCMA is due late April and only opens the week before.

I am just about to start my first course - SEH806 (contemporary issues in science learning); my course pack showed up yesterday morning for an end of january start  Was a bit of a rush; I wanted to do introductary course first but forgot to register and it was full when I called them about it, so opted for this one instead; I hope it will be okay. It will be a bit odd doing the course in this order, but I'm more comfortable with the content of this module than any of the others because it's closer to my own background.

Lots and lots of reading over christmas I think :) Would be great if they did the books for the kindle. :o

celyn90 - a lot of courses have PDF versions of the course material now, have a look through the course page for 'alternative formats', if not, try asking on its forums as disabled students will often be given them. Then they are Kindle ready :D
