Well my OH has let me have the laptop, he's decided to go play on his computer so I thought i'd watch that millionaire murder mansion thing that was on C4 tonight but I think i'm going to have to turn it off, i'm finding it quite scary. I don't understand what kind of person can do what he did and he must have planned it all out in advance, I think that's one of the scariest parts. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Hello Aurora 14 How good to have someone on here who grows things - I love gardening but am hopeless actually growing things from scratch so most of my time out there is spent on my knees weeding! AND I have to wear Marigolds (or more properly bargain versions of) to do it. I second that we want to hear all about your gardening.
Paddingtondoo - can I call you padster too? I also bet you are a good call centre person and in the UK too! You must get all sorts good & bad - I must admit, by the time I get to speak to a real person, I'm fed up of all the choices!
Sugarspun - It will get better - it just takes time. Good for you on standing your ground with the insensitive.
Shevs - good luck with tattoo - be brave!0 -

I'd just like to apologise to anyone who has had a bad experience with a call centre. I've been on the phones as it's called for over 10 years and I still cringe on at least a daily basis at how some of my colleagues fail to listen and think they can speak to customers refusing to put someone through to a supervisor is appalling . In our defense though some customers can be very difficult to deal with I've lost count of the number of little old ladies who've sworn at me :rotfl:.
**runs out again**
I worked in one myself for a couple of years, but because I did the Saturday night shift I talked to a lot of very unhappy people and learned to listen. I can understand not knowing what "passed away" means if English isn't your first language (and it obviously wasn't this muppet's), but refusing the supervisor was just obnoxious. I imagine they have quotas of non-escalated calls to reach.
I was being difficult, but only after he annoyed me. And I did apologise, but not terribly convincingly.
Thanks again everyone for your kind thoughts. I'm starting to think that maybe we'll be able to manage without her.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hi Girlies,
My lovely lovely Grandad slipped away in the night. He literally did just fall asleep as he was in exactly the same position as when we had left him. He had been so peaceful all day and was fine at 4am, and when the nurse checked at 4.10 he had just fell asleep. Bless him. I prayed so hard for the angels to take him away from the awful suffering and they did. Just wanted to thank you for all your kind messages, particularly everyone who had sent me PMs as well and scattymam for her unfailing ability to help me out when I needed someone. You are all little stars. Thank you xxxxx
Now go and munch some Easter eggs! X

Sugar When my Grandad passed away in '07 my gran called their bank to inform them of his death and that she would need to take his name off their joint account and have it in her name only. Well of course she couldnt do that 'cos the ejit on the other end of the phone said that they needed consent from my grandad to have his name taken off the account. My mum took oer the call and she went round in circles for over an hour and talking to numerous people explaining how could he give his consent if he was dead and it was an english call centre.
Paddingtondoo I bet you are fab at your job, I used to work on a switchboard and there was a lady there who had been working on the switch for over 30 years:eek: but she was fantastic at her job so helpfull and polite to the customers . I bet your just the same.
Rusty It looks fantastic, I had a nosey over at the nappy cake thread and they all look brilliant. If any of my family and close friends anounce a pregnancy you can expect an order from me. I am getting a tribal heart put on my wrist, I am nervous but an excited nervous.
Marg Thank you, I'll be ok once he starts the tattoo, its the first touch of the needle that is the scariest then once thats over its not so bad.
Haley Have you tried sleeping in a cold room? I know it sounds daft but I cant sleep in a warm room, I have to have all the windows open and the radiators turned off. I still have a duvet over me but its nice to feel the cold air around me0 -
