Thank you
It's not been easy. I yelled at some muppet in a call centre today. I explained that I needed to close a Visa account (zero balance, made me smile) because the account holder had passed away. He said he couldn't talk to me about it and was she there with me?
I requested a supervisor; he said he was an account manager and could he speak to the account holder? I responded rather loudly, explained (like the Monty Python parrot sketch) what passed away means and insisted on his supervisor unless he happened to have a Ouija board at his desk. I got the supervisor.
But the worst of the work is over and now my main job is keeping my mother occupied and away from the places she and my nan went together. Which meant spending money on the baby and other relatives in Home and Bargain. Ah well. For a good cause.
You are doing really well sugar. I've been thinking of you ever since. I wish I could help like in person, but you are doing really well. Keep strong. I've been sending you (and Mel, Rusty, Sylph, Shelley and Hayley, too) my little helpers. And I am sending you a big hug, comforting thoughts, love and strength. xxx0 -
PLM - Hiya Chickdee you've been quiet, hope everything is ok and hope your sis is doing ok.
RUSTY - that nappy cakes looks fab, did you make that one yourself?
MHAGSTER - I hope you have a lovely holiday
I am off to get my tattoo tomorrow at 10.30 and I am starting to get a bit nervous, it isnt my first but I just keep thinking about how much my first one hurt.
Hope all you gorgeous gals are ok x x x
Thankyou ShevsYes I did make that one myself, was a special order for one of the [strike]DRUNKS[/strike] Customers at work :rotfl: I plan to make another one almost exactly the same (you watch I wont be able to now!) for my mum to take into work.
What Tattoo are you having??Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
And half an hour later...and 40 odd pages...I forgot what I wanted to say now. :-)
Oh, yes, forgot to mention the melons (both yellow and red). That'll be fun...melons in the north of England, wet and windy...hmmm...I'll keep you posted. :-)
...and half an hour later...here it goes :-)
raimac - thank you. xxx I don't want to go too much into my greenfingered activities, I might get chucked out. :-)
rusty - yes, marigolds i.e. the yellow rubber gloves? Haven't heard that in ages.
"Oooh hang on no ... my friends mum always used to say to wear marigolds before putting your finger in a belly button then you wont get pregnant :rotfl: " - what's that??? :-) Never heard that one before. :-) I shall NOT wear marigolds then. :-)
rusty - well done!!! :T:T:T You put me to shame with my feeble surveys earnings. :-) Well done!!! BTW, the scooters look fantastic. Just imagine the look on your lo's face. I bet a million dollars on that she will feel like the luckiest and happiest little girl in the whole world. Well done.
choccie - that's wonderful you growing stuff. Well done. Don't get discouraged though. I could write a book about how to get easily discouraged from growing your own. Unfortunately. One instance, 2 years ago our greenhouse blew up (gales), the shatterproof glass was everywhere so even resorted to hoovering!!! the field around the garden so the sheep wouldn't cut themselves, you should have seen the faces on the rumblers walking by, someone hoovering a green field. :-) They had a right shock. :-) It was hillarious. If you ever want/ need to know something, or any help let me know, I will be very happy to help if I can.
So, what seedlings have you got? I killed quite a few cacti in my lifetime. :-) But I can grow potatoes. :-)
Hayley - horlics - that's the one I meant. You know the drink to help you sleep, I haven't tried it yet, the 24h news works a treat for me.
I hope that furry, coffee maniac Sarah :-) and JS are alright.
Mel - we were given 3 weeks to wait for the results on the cancer. Disgraceful, I think. Trying not to think about it.
I am praying that all will be alright. I hope sugarspan is alright. Thinking of you sugar. xxx
Hugs and love to you all. I'll be awol on the posting front till Tuesday I think, but I'll keep reading and thanking :-) .
xxx
Aurora I want to come and live with you and let you take me under your wings and show me how to grow things I always [strike]Kill[/strike] gently persuade thing to dissapear and go all brown :rotfl:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
padster runs in waves and reluctantly admits she works in a call centre if asked I always say something else - lol
I'd just like to apologise to anyone who has had a bad experience with a call centre. I've been on the phones as it's called for over 10 years and I still cringe on at least a daily basis at how some of my colleagues fail to listen and think they can speak to customers refusing to put someone through to a supervisor is appalling . In our defense though some customers can be very difficult to deal with I've lost count of the number of little old ladies who've sworn at me :rotfl:.
**runs out again**Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Very creative indeedy do.
Do you sell them? Or do them for friends/family?
Would have loved something like that for a recent birth (not mine - eg: not MY actual birth as that was some years ago LOL!), would make a super gift.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

Arghh! I really want to read all your posts properly but I am being rationed the laptop!!
I've had a look for the easter eggs in the hunt (found 3, think I give up now!)
Aurora - thanks for the sleeping tips, I shall get some horlicks tomorrow. And the 24 hours new channel, brilliant idea, I do find the news quite boring!
Sugarspun - Hope you're coping okay hunI can't believe how ignorant and insensitive some people can be, I would have gone mad at them too. I hate call centres these days, so many are outsourced and they just follow a script and it is so annoying.
Saying that, the english call centres are just as bad really! I've worked in a few and honestly some people really didn't give a monkeys!
I'm sure our padster is the best call centre worker ever
Jammy - i've watched Lost and it battered my poor little head a bit and I can't post now because a certain annoying person is kicking me off the laptop! But I shall post tomorrow and you can explain everything to me because you are very clever and I am not
Sorry to everybody else, feel really ignorant today! Shall catch up properly tomorrow
I'm feeling really sleepy so I am going to read my book and try and get to sleep, we're going to the local fair tomorrow, weather permittingOh and i'm not taking my tablets anymore because they're not helping me sleep so they're totally pointless so they can get lost!
Night ladies xx:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies
