pinkladymel wrote: »Hey everyone,
I went to Toys R Us today and needed to call my sister about some DVD's that were cheap. She sounded teary and when I asked what was wrong she was hesitant but then blurted she had just come back from the doctors for her smear and she has the first stages of cervical cancer. To say my whole world came crashing down would be an understatement. I am so good at dealing with major problems but then I thought about our lives together, I practically raised her and I don't know how I could face my life without her...I just sobbed in the middle of the shop. On the way home I popped into Tesco and instantly see Jade Goody plastered across all the glossy magazines. I'm good now just as long as I don't visit the memories and concentrate on a positive future.
If I can get over cancer, so can she.
Just wanted to let you know I may be away for a bit so you don't think I have left you x
Pinkladymel - I don't know what to say except I'm sorry and I'm thinking of you and your sister ((Hugs))0 -
I haven't been around for a few days but I've just about caught up.
Sugarspun - I'm glad your grandma is a bit better and hopefully her pain is under better control now
Please can I join in with your make £75 challenge. I've joined a few survey sites but haven't had many so will have to think of other ways0 -
Thanks everyone. I am alright and I don't want to be the elephant in the room or anything. She is only 21 and I just feel as though it never ends. Life is unpredictable, i'm trying my hardest every day to appreciate everyone i've got and be a better person but sometimes I feel like it is just never enough. Fate.
What has everyone got planned this weekend?:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -

OoOo let's see it Jammy. I scrapped the other night but still haven't taken a photograph. I said before that I hope to scrap fully A4 in future as the cardstock is cheaper and it is so much easier to buy a beautiful ringbinder (and a 1/4 of the price) then keep adding to scrapbooks. It is one of those things I have to keep going back to though as I keep missing 12x12.. how stupid is that!! I never feel like things fit aesthetically perfect on 12x12 but it's so easy on A4 don't you think?:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0

Pinkladymel - I'm so sorry I just don't know what to say. What a terrible thing to have to deal with especially with all the Jade Goody coverage
I have never been in your position and i really don't know how I would deal with it. Thats all I seem to be hearing - just half an hour ago a friend of a friend has had to go to switch off her two week old baby girl's life support machine. The baby was born at 26 weeks after she had a biopsy which broke her waters tragically the biopsy has revealed she also has cervical cancer and will have to have a hysterectomy!!! So she is now having to watch her daughter die and deal with the cancer diagnosis. Life just doesn't seem fair
I will be thinking of you Pinkladymel and keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLittle Miss Chatterbox

Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
PinkladyMel - So sorry to hear about your sister & hoping like mad that she will have a good outcome it must be hard to think positive with all that Jade Goody stuff about. Hopefully, they will have caught your sisters in time. Take care.
Sugarspun - Amazing how resiliant these oldies can be isn't it Hope your gran is soon out of hospital.
Shelley3774 - Don't know what to say that seems so bad - just very sorry.0 -
