I've just asked my mum about this as she is the deputy head of her primary school and she said that Invigilator Moderators have to have some sort of qualification in education but isnt 100% sure so I will deffo have a look into that and so will she, who can stick their nose up at £10 an hour, I know I certainly cant, cant stick it up at 50p an hour at the mo:o .

Thanks for thinking of jobs forme guys x x x
  • def check it out as at my school the dinner ladies do it! cant imagine while you need any qual as you are not teaching just handing out papers, collecting them in and then walking around checking no one is cheating! or there is the job of lunchtime supervisor?

I've calmed down from last night now, but my rant seems a bit daft now, it wont though the next time I am wound up, which will probably later on tonight.

Its absolutly miserable here in manchester suprise suprise, just got back from the gym and put my pj's back on. feeling rough with a bad chest, so feeling very very sorry for myself right now. Oh what I'd give for a bit of sunshine.

wahey! :) It's definitely all about who you know in there though so if your Mum can put in a good word then go for it or start the conversation with "Hello I am enquiring about X after my Mother who is Deputy head of X primary school suggested you may need some help" - absolutely name drop it's the only way my friend got into a couple of other places!

my dad did invigilating after he retired, he was employed by edexcel - may be worth looking at.
Contact the colleges, as I think schools tend to use their own teachers.

Shevs - sorry to hear of car bump. What a brill idea about invigilating - agree name dropping your Mum is a good move. My brother is a governor at a school & helped on an interview panel for a support worker & happened to say 'I'd like a job like this' to the teacher i/c and they gave him the job! Temporary, but he's since been made permanent.

If all else fails put me on the list for house to be cleaned.....:rotfl:
Did you see 'The Apprentice' last night? They were cleaning cars perhaps b/f could do that? I have a friend that does mobile car valet & makes a good living at it.

    Hi Guys!
Just a nifty little reminder to ask you to vote for your favourite scrapbook apprentice MELANIE MARSHALL if you haven't already before the end of March here: http://creativitylifemag.blogspot.com/ as she is the bestest and I am not biased! :D
Not long to go until we see her new beautiful work for April.

I somehow managed to vote more than once:confused: but I am claiming them as votes for OH, Mum and Dad :);)

    Night night :A

No crafting for me the last few days I managed to finish the easter hat and that was that after we were all hit with a nasty bug. I feel much better today but keeping the boys off school just in case. OH is still ill and had been up all night :( I've decided not to go to work today though to be on the safe side, will probably go back tomorrow.
On the plus side because we haven't been able to go out we have had about 4 no spend days on the trot :) essential at the moment until payday next Tues x
