Hello all
I haven't been abducted.. just been crafting (shock horror) and moping and playing with the munchkins.
For the advent swap, it is a brilliant idea to write down your ideas and keep them safe so that your swapee doesn't work out who you are. More importantly though, it's a great idea to write down your likes and dislikes.
For my first swap I was stumped at what I love because I don't really buy anything for myself. Throughout the year i'm always thinking of little things I enjoy but forget when it comes to christmas! last year I had wrote it all down and finally got myself a scarf:D My swappee had found me one with skulls on!! She also wrapped me up a toilet roll.. the nutter

evenin!
have been awol past few days as ive been really tired and going to bed really early but just read pages of post to catch up! had to go out and buy flowers for MIL tonight as she has my daughter when i work and the little madam had a complete fit at playgroup today. MIL spent 20 mins in the toilet trying to calm her down. Strangely enough i usually dont shout at her which is strange as i shout at the kids i teach all day! i seem to have more patience with my own children and can calm her down by talking.
i was a bad mommy today  though as i forgot to pick my son up from nursery!!! on wed my MIL has both DS and DD, on thurs DD goes to MIL and DS to nursery and on fri DD and DS to MIL again so easy to get confused! did feel bad when husband phoned me on way home to ask if he needed to pick DS up as i had drove straight to MIL instead of nursery!
did my bit for rudolph club and menu planned for the shop this week. usually have £50 budget to spend and have decided to that whatever is left out of this each week will buy savers stamps so that hopefully i have enough saved for decembers shopping! already have £23!
phew longest post so far!
shelly sorry to hear about your doggie. i still get tearful now when i think about our family dogs who died over 10 years ago but i also laugh at the memories such as putting headbands over their ears so that they could eat their porridge when puppies. it does get easier but you never forget them!0 -
Biker chick well done on the new job I hope you like the office, it does sound a lot better for you.
My word have I have had a day of it. I hit another car todaythere wasnt much damage done to the other persons car just a little crack, Im just praying that he doesnt come back and say that its much worse. First time I have ever hit anything in my car and hopefully it'll be the last. I was so shook up I couldnt stop shaking and trying not to cry but the man was lovely about it. I completly broke down though when I got home. Also found out today that BF is being made redundant aswell:mad: good job that we gave up our flat cos we were seriously struggling with just me out of work dont know how we could of coped with both of us.
Sorry ladies and thanks for listening x x x0 -
I am still battling with my wedding invite order, got to get them finished tonight as have to deliver them in the morning!!!
Have today received a cheque for £25 for online mystery shopping, another for £20 from Music Magpie for boys' old DVDs and negotiated new mobile phone contract - reducing from £37 a month to under £15 and they are throwing in a new phone, will be here tomorrow - get me
Ok, let me keep going with these blinking cards, will be glad to see the back of them tomorrow, roll on another order not involving tieing bows
Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly Shelley, all you need.
Sylphraven - I bought DS2 those stripey pjs in M&S yesterday (amongst other things), they are so cool.
SugarSpun - congratulations, fab news

shevs sorry to hear about your car and your BF redundancy. my OH has had quite a few car accidents all his fault! once i was driving somewhere to meet him and drove past him and his crash on the side of the road. he was too busy looking behind and singing to our DD and went right into the back of another car. another time his foot slipped off the pedal and he shunted into another car at a T junction! he alwyas does it when we have other big bills to pay and its usually my saving that pay for repairs or new cars!0

Thats exactly what happened to me, my foot just slipped clear off the clutch and went into the back of the car infront. We were both stationary as it was a red light so I hope there is nothing more serious then the little crack.
JAMMY I hope to god this is the last of my bad luck cos I dont know how much more of this I can take, when I think things have gone from bad to worse something rears its ugly head and things go from worse to horrendous.
I am going to have a look into the cleaning business, not with bf, he's useless, but I can go it alone. Even if its just a couple of houses a few days a week is better then nothing.

shevs - on the job front have you thought about exam invigilator at a school? the gcse exams are coming up so many schools hire around now. it isnt very interesting work and will only last till june / july but you can try and fit cleaning jobs around this.
something to think of?0 -
