No problem Mum2one here is the recipe I found online for Malteser Cake:

    Quantity
    Ingredients
    85g (3oz) Butter
    2 tbspn Golden syrup
    2 tbspn Cocoa powder
    170g (6oz) Digestives, crushed
1 x 175g Bag Maltesers, half crushed & half left whole

    Method
    1. Melt the butter and golden syrup in small heavy base saucepan.
    2. Stir in the cocoa powder, digestives, and crushed Maltesers until well combined.
    3. Allow to cool slightly, then stir through the whole Maltesers.
    4. Line a 1lb Loaf tin with Cling film, pour in the mixture and press down well, but be careful not to crush the whole Maltesers.
    5. Chill until set. About 2 hours.
    6. Slice the chocolate malteser cake into chunky fingers and serve.

And the added bonus is there is not much cooking :j:j:j:j:j:j
I will let you know how it turns out cos like you I have a very sweet tooth :D:D

LOL Shelley you are a star!! I got a really good loaf tin from Poundland. Hope you can get one soon.. do you have an instore or anything? I am really sorry you have loss through cancer too and I hope that my post didn't make you sad x I really wanted to go over and ask the woman what the hell she was doing but I was in the car with Logan and didn't want him to see any conflict. Also.. I was worried she would take it out on her son once out of view.

The rains hammering down here.. I LOVE IT!

Thanks Pinkladymel unfortunately no Poundland and instore is in the middle of town so i think i will give Asda a go.
I think in hindsight you did the best thing because I don't know about you but I've found people are getting more aggressive especially in the supermarket :mad::mad: I've had 3 incidents recently where people have gone beserk because I've accidentally bumped into them:mad:. The day my local Asda opened I was shopping with my Nan minding my own business and I did notice an older woman shopping with her daughter and grandchildren. Each aisle I went in she was there so I politely waited for her to finish browsing before I pushed past with that she spun around and started shouting that I had been following her into every aisle and barging her:mad::mad::mad: Well my Nan thought she was joking you should have seen her face!!! I'm not a shrinking wallflower so I gave it to her both barrels and in the end told her she should go back home to the lunatic asylum :o:o:o:o:o:o Even more embarrassing was my friend later approaching me after she saw the whole thing :o:o:o:o

HAHAH!!! That is a brilliant story lol I would have been applauding you to be honest. It is always at my Asda where I get all of the conflict. People in there are insane. When I had Emily as a newborn and Logan was a 14 months old toddler walking next to me, this stupid man pushed his trolley purposefully into Logans face. I am very protective over the kids and I said 'what was that for' he ignored me and started talking to his mate in Polish so I hadn't got a clue what they was on about. I took his trolley and literally ran and then let go so it went zooming down the aisle. You should have seen his face. No one messes with my children!!

you should try shopping in a wheelchair. Lee is actually invisible. If he is looking at something, someone will just climb infront of him and start shopping with their backsides in his face. You wouldn't think this was true but I swear it happens every single time.

    The world has gone mad!!

    That's why I loves it here x

  • Hi PLM, sorry to hear you have had so many losses through cancer, it is an awful disease. As for the woman in the car park, I am amazed how some people treat their children - good for you for not letting it go and calling the police. You hear these terrible stories of child abuse and wonder how nobody ever picked up the phone.

Ooh and chicken soup is the best, it cures all ills in my opinion (I am making a big pot of it when I get home tonight, from yesterday's leftovers, yummmmm).

PLM - sorry to hear you have lost so many people through cancer. Well done to you for doing something about the woman in the car park, too many people would have 'looked the other way' and ignored her

Hope all the poorly people feel better soon

Shevs - hope you have a fantastic holiday, good luck with the job hunting

    mum2one - another fab story :T

mhagster - glad you're having a good day with your OH.

Shelley - thanks for the recipe, it sounds delish

PLM - my OH was in a wheelchair for a while, I know what you mean about other people, he took to carrying his crutches across him so if people got too close he could prod them :D

@PLM - good on you for doing something about that child. I'm so sorry you have had so many bad cancer experiences in your family. It is truly an awful disease.

@Shelley - That recipie sounds delish! Do you think it would work with other biscuits? I can't eat digestives or anything oaty.

@mum2one - you never fail to amuse me :):D I love the mum2one stories. I always forget Whiskey is the dog and get very confused until half way through!

@PLMagain & Hayley - Wasn't Lost great! I love that Sun and Jin have gone all kick @ss! I wasn't loving clean-shaven Sawyer, but I still wouldn't kick him out of bed :D LOL!!!

Well it is a very blustery day here in 100acre wood :) Gale force 8 nonetheless. I am still suffering with a dodgy tummy, don't think its a bug as its just 'one way' (TMI) so thinking I've eaten something that I'm intolerant to (the list is endless) but I am rather upset as I haven't been poorly with food intolerance for 7 months and had hoped I was on the mend..apparently not :( The absolute only positive side is that all 25 pairs of trousers will probably fit me by tomorrow as I am on the dry-toast diet until I feel like a human being again! I WANT MALTEASER CAKE!!!!!!!!!!

I have updated my blog with a Christmas journal page - yes in March :)

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A
