Well I did take your advice Pinkladymel and popped into town not Asda but couldn't get a loaf tin in Home Bargains or Poundstretchers!!! Popped into Tesco but they were £5 :mad::mad: I refuse to pay that!! So I ended up picking up silver trays like you get from the chinese (similar shape to loaf tin) and will try one of them until I get a decent priced one.
Jamtart - I would have thought it would work ok with other biscuits give it a whirl x
On the plus side I did manage to get some bargains in HB - a one for all remote for 99p (the boys wrecked my LG one). I use one of those on the big telly upstairs and I paid about £15 for it so well pleased with that.
Hope everyone who is poorly is feeling better.

You are the most wonderful person, and in a short time, u have achieved so much, u have a heart that is just bursting, and everyone you meet / or in contatc with you spread joy to them, regardless of everything u put everyone else 1st, and make sure everyone else is ok. I'm sorry that u have had so much lose in your life, in one way or another, but you come through it and that has what made you such a wonderful person that you are, your a loving wife, a top mum, and a great friend to us on here.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hope all the poorly people feel better soon
Shevs - hope you have a fantastic holiday, good luck with the job hunting
mum2one - another fab story :T Thank you xx
mhagster - glad you're having a good day with your OH.
Shelley - thanks for the recipe, it sounds delish
PLM - my OH was in a wheelchair for a while, I know what you mean about other people, he took to carrying his crutches across him so if people got too close he could prod them
Sometimes I have used mobility scooters sometimes and I lost the amount of times that I got cut up, spoke to as thou I do not have a single brain cell. Worst was at Chester Zoo, knew I wouldnt get around so we hired one, and we were looking at one of the animals and this man turned around and said, people like that shouldnt be allowed out, its a family zoo, not for morons who cant control themselves......... god did he get a mouthful, theres times even with the crutches I feel like having a sign saying I am normal........ the other thing they dont talk to you, they talk to the person ur with.
Sorry to moan, its one of my pet hates.xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Shevs - brilliant news on the holiday! What a fab boyfriend you have there! Try not to break any bones over there
Sorry to hear some of you aren't feeling too well, hope you feel better soon
I hate seeing parents treat their children badly, it really really gets to me. The urge to go and slap them and show them up in public to see how they like it is very overwhelming!
This post is about to get very depressing so feel free to skip it
Mel - So sorry to hear your family has been affected by cancer. It is a terrible terrible disease and I wish to god they had a cure for it. What you said about that affecting your emotions etc, I can relate to that so much. I have had a lot of death in my life, all my grandparents, my uncle and then my uncle and cousin killed themselves. My mum and I found my cousin, I was 15 at the time and I can still remember it like it was yesterday, I still have nightmares about itI worry all the time that people I love will die, this is probably the root of my depression to be honest. I should probably go and see a counsellor again really.
I just had a good cry on the phone to my mum, think i'm having another bad dayGoing to have to go and see the doctor again and get him to change these tablets. They are making me so tired, I am sleeping for about 12/13 hours, I don't even hear my alarm, don't hear my OH getting up in the morning
Anyway I think i'll go join the depression support thread again, I don't want to make you all as miserable as I am! Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Hayley, I'm so sorry with all u have been through, it does gd to have a gd cry, hope you get the tablets sorted, usually takes 1 or 2 goes to get the doseage and tablets sorted, I call my box of tablets, my little chocolate box, as I'm always delving in for one or another.
Were all here for you xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hayley you don't make us depressed. I think it is a good idea that people give a real representation of life so that those of us who are struggling don't think we're insane. Everyone is always giving a glossy 'sex in the city' type depiction of their lifestyles and it makes you feel like you was just not good enough and that your life is completely abnormal. It's nice to read on here that people are not so perfect and I am not alone x If you ever need someone to talk to I am always here. My best friend killed himself and I never even saw it coming. Every single day I can not believe how blind I was and never stop wishing I could turn back time just to tell him how much he meant to me. I hope you can find some happiness today because you are a wonderful person and you can not change what has happened, it was their decisions to make. Don't waste your own life xx:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0

Lovely Mothers Day, got up at 6am to do a boot fair, my son came down on his motorbike at 10 with a flask of tea and bought me a hot dog for brekkie. Much better than breakfast in bed. Made over £40 for my money neutral pot. But I spent £10 of it this morning getting my car cleaned inside and out. £10 well spent though, it looks and smells fabulous. Not a lot left to sell now, but the house is well and truly decluttered. (Apart from the three carrier bags full of stuff I bought at Olympia on Saturday)
Well done on the car boot sale but more importantly what did you buy at Olympia??? WE need to see all the bargains etc etc you got!! Did you see Dawn Bibby???0 -
