aww your 9yo sounds lovely mhagster
I think the Jade thing is tragic too
I feel so sorry for them all. I do however, feel really sorry for anyone with cancer because for the last 2 months its been in the press so much there is just no escaping it, and seeing the slow demise of Jade will dampen cancer patients spirits I would have thought, however on the opposite of that, she should be commended for raising awareness of the disease and making people go for smear tests. I 100% dont blame her for making as much money out of the media as possible for her boys, anyone would do the same if given the chance

Happy Mothers Day to you all. Hope you all have a lovely day. To those who have lost their mummies, Celebrate her life on this day and she will be watching over you all and thinking what wonderful children she brought into this world.
My OH has just told me about Jade, I had a bit of a cry. I wasn't a big fan but did think of her boys and also the fact she was so young. I am on the same thinking as my OH though, people die of this awful disease every single day, but only when someone famous suffers/dies we have it all pushed in our faces in the media which personally I think is wrong. However I don't blame her for trying to make money for her boys future.
I was woken at 11am by my 2 beautiful children, then OH came in with breakfast on a tray which my son had made and he even picked a daffodil out of the garden for me.... I have a mahoooosive box of thorntons and a crafty mag so I am chuffed as my kiddies know me so well bless them.
Hope you all have a brilliant day
P.S I sold £94.20 worth of [strike]JUNK[/strike] stuff on ebay yesterday alonewho says I can't be MSE

Happy Mothers Day to you all
Feel really sad today about Jade. My OH hasn't helped coming home telling me all the jokes his footy mates were telling him and he thought they were funny, i'd love to know what is funny about a 27 year old woman dying and leaving two little boys. So i'm sat upstairs ignoring him now because he's an insensitive pig.
Thanks for sharing your birth story ladies, I love reading them
Hope all you mothers have a lovely dayxx
 Think happy & you'll be happy

Happy Mothers Day to all you mummy's on the thread hope your being spoilt wrotten.
I was really sad about Jade, as much as she has had bad press in the past she didnt deserve to die so young. I really feel for her two little lads having to grow up without a mum. My Dads cousin died of a brain tumor last Thursday at the age of 59 from being diagnosed to death it was only 6 months, she is also leaving 3 kids behind. All beit that they are in the 20's but losing your mum at any age is devostating.
Sorry for the more somber note there.
I hope everyone is having nicer weather then me, its not raining here in Manchester but we've certainley got the clouds for it, which is suprising as Manchester is usually such a tropical city lol.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes guys, Im looking forward to catching up with old friends and getting to know new ones x x x0 -
I was planning on having a bit of a lie in this morning but at 7ish LO had other thoughts, so I woke OH up as well, lol.
Kids got me a xcut gulletine, & some rubber stamps - good to see OH was listening to me while we went round The Range the other day
Ds1 also brought me up a cuppa coffee, mmmm, AND got the washng off the line for me!!! shows the trainings working out, lol. Then had a lovely soak in the bath before doing the tour of our Mums, first to mine then my OHs. She gave me a lovely black corset she'd made which was totally unexpected.
Am home & totally work out now, OH is starting to get tonights roast ready & I'm planning on doing some crafting
Hayley, my OH is the same, him & his dad cracking jokes, I think its a little bit of not wanting to think about it.
Well done on your sales RUsty
Jammy, my big bro faints at blood, the thought of broken bones, needles, etc, as his OH could only have 1 person in while she was having a C-section they agreed it was best that her mom went with her, he has got use to seeing her drip though, which he's never been able to cope with before, so there is hope.
Hope your feeling a bit better Plums & you've had loadsa fun with the kiddies.
Well done for looking at his toe Oona, hope you've had a quiet morning. Hows the squeezing going? You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
My doctor tells me that the amount of noise a woman makes in labour is allegedly correlated to the amount of noise she makes during the process that gets her pregnant.
I hope it's not true. I'll wake the whole hospital´:o
Thanks everyone for your birth stories. I spent the better part of two days reading the enormous thread "What they don't tell you about pregnancy and birth" and was utterly horrified, but I was talking to my very lovely husband last night and his comment was that we've both gotten off very lightly so far. I get annoyed really easily, but I apologise for it a while later and he knows I don't mean it so it's ok.
We didn't plan to get pregnant this soon. We weren't doing much to prevent it, but we were both secretly worried that we'd have serious problems conceiving a child given both of our family and personal histories. When I took the test, we sat on the rug in the bedroom for some time talking about whether we were really ready to do it. We decided we'd try our best, but then with the scare 6/7 weeks in we both realised how much we really wanted to keep the baby and we did everything we could to make sure we didn't dislodge her.
I've been borrowing the phrase my mother used about my brother: an accident, but not a mistake, and it fits perfectly. I'm now 21+1 and really excited to get to the part where there's a baby. I'm really not looking forward to labour, but labour lasts one day and then you have a baby to raise. It's just a means to an end.

When are you due?
I hope my child can recognise cues like, Ooooh, I love those shoes. If only a gift-giving occasion was coming up.
The blessed event is due to happen in early August, but we have a family history of early births so I'll have the bag packed from mid-June onwards.
Edit: my poor mother is really insulted. I got her a spa day voucher for mother's day, incorporating a massage and a mud bath. My brother gave her a mud pack. She's now telling everyone that her kids both gave her dirt.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

PLM - I'm sorry
. I forgot to say yesterday that I'm so sorry your daughters teddies got stolen
Furrypig - hope you survived the inlaws staying, I know how stressful it can be
Hope all the mums and mums to be have had a good day
I'm feeling very guilty as I'm not seeing my mum until tuesday, so she hasn't got a card or anything to open today as I'm an only child (its a decoupaged card and I didn't want it to get squashed in the post). I have rung her though but still feel bad about it0 -

i completely agree with this Jammy.
I had a few tears when I realised she had past away but she was at home with her family and is finally at peace.
i was not a huge fan of hers prior to her cancer diagnosis but I have great admiration for her since this time and I too would do whatever for my kids to help them in the future especially when she had an awful upbringing herself from what I understand.
RIP Jade xxx0
