On a happier not e I have had alovely Mother's day and it's still happening!!
DD made and brought me a cuppa tea in bed and then DS (with daddy's help!) brought me a bacon bagel with a glass of OJ! I felt very spoilt as I had some daffodils (my fave) and some tulips I also had a little hippo and some photo frames I wanted!
The hippo was a joke as I had asked hubby not to get flowers as someone at work was quoting a story in the paper about most flowers coming from Africa and how they were draining the water from the hippo's habitat and they were dying . She said 'flowers on mothers day killed hippos!' Having been lucky enough to see hippos in the wild I was really put off getting flowers!!
We had a picnic lunch at a local national trust place and I took along the homemade cake for FIL's 80th and we all had that followed by a walk. Came home and now hubby is cooking a roast and even made a crumble!! We are also having some fizz to celebrate the 80th bday! I was very MSE and made a card and made a hamper!!
Looking forward to relaxing tonight too, thanks for all your mother's day wishes, hope everyone has enjoyed their day whatever the circumstances.
Hugs to all xxx0 -
Furrypig - you are so lucky
We went on safari a few years ago, and the one animal I really wanted to see was a hippo and we didn't see any
Hope you enjoy the rest of your day0 -

I sold 27 of the 30 things I listed on ebay :T :T :T Got to sort all the blooming stuff out now to post as and when the payments dribble through.
We've had a nice day all in all, DS2 has been a monster as he was so tired after the party yesterday and the late night. His attitude aside, it's been good
. I got 2 cards and they are lovely, great words in them so OH and kids spent time choosing in the shop rather than grab anything. OH is cooking dinner as I type (kids ate earlier).
I am knackered tonight so going to do not very much, sort my ebay stuff that needs posting, eat my dinner and go to bed I think.
I too feel sad about Jade and agree she's in a better place now. I completely admired her determination and drive to get as much money as possible out of the media for her family before she died. I didn't buy the papers or read any of the stories but plenty of people did.
Take care everyone x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Well done Choccy!!
look at you getting all creative and crafty I am impressed!!
Can you post some pics of your hard work please?? Would love to see you dies and also your fabby scrapbook for your chum!
I got the template for the pyramid box from the talented Rusty flange that's why the boxes were made in honour of her at the nec!! I think it is posted on the cardmaking thread somewhere!! I just printed them on some card (though it was a bit trial and error as some was too thick and kept getting stuck in the printer!!)
Good luck crafty twinnie!!0 -

I agree with everything you said about Jade Jammy - she has done great things in putting this out there and raising awareness and her foundation I am sure will be very popular but it will have been very hard for sufferers to see the deterioration. The poor boys! they are so young.0

I feel so young to lose my mam at 31 but at their ages!0
