Jamtart - Sorry to hear about your grandad
must be an awful time for you all.
Shelley - Any news on the dog? fingers crossed for you.
Rainmac - Bet you are so excited about Fri, enjoy yourselves girls, sorry I can't make it.
Padingtondoo - Don't let them grind you down! keep your chin up *hugs to you* love the card! so different to anything I have seen before! Well done
Hayley - glad you had a lovely day .... (P.S MEL SHE IS OLDER THAN US LOOK)
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Having a very bad eveningHad a fight through emails with my sons dad, have had several fights with OH throughout the day and then tonight aswell which resulted in me throwing a load of stuff away.
My frames have gone in the bin, I spent 2 hours making up some little boquet toppers from yellow paper flowers and pearls and I was really happy with them, just had to put some lettering on the cards ... they went in the bin aswell as did the journals I made ... it is now all in the bin.Grrr I am sooo mad tonight. I went out in the car and sat on the beach but forgot my coat so had to come back home after 45 mins
and since I got home I got even more wound up by another reply back from my sons dad so instead of fighting I forwarded the lot by email to my solicitor :rotfl: that is what she is paid for.
So now I need to find a miracle stash of money to buy 4 boxes of chocks and 4 cards so that the mums actually get something on mothers day
OH still not heard back from interview, he doesn't think he will ... he is moping round the house snapping at everyone including the kids which is really getting my back up. He said no to me going to the NEC on fri with you lovely ladies cause we are skint (tell me something I don't know) but today he has been and preordered a new limited edition red xbox360 for £200 and something quid! he gets to pick it up friday and can trade his in for £60yet we can't afford £50 for me to have diesel in the car and do a 650 mile round trip and £13 for a ticket to have a life and a day off!
Ah well all fun and games .... hope you all enjoy the rest of your evening ... I might not be on tomorrow, I may have been arrested for murderRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Can you take any of your fab creations out of the bin???
I really hope you can salvage something after all your hard work
Look on the bright side if you do go to prison there will be plenty of time for crafting as it must count as some sort of therapy I'm sure!!!0 -

Well to totally go off topic, i spent a couple of hours crying this afternoon!!
I phoned my boss at work to say I'd have to take tomorrow off as both kids were still pretty grotty as only just started antibiotics and still not eating etc etc. She thought I'd take it as annual leave but I said I had none left and hoped to have carers leave. She said because I'd had some she didn't think I should have anymore as I wasn't entitled to it!! I said I had done the job for coming up for 2 years and never asked for it before and once when I was off with my son I made all the time back up! i explained who I was due to see tomorrow (def 2 people poss 3 only) and she basically said I had ruined her day as she had plans! She asked what I was doing Friday and I said I was already off as it had been arranged when she was on leave and she said I shouldn't have done that either. SHe said I should have a fall back plan for whrn things like this happen and I said hubby had looked after them Mon and Tues so I could work but was now up in Newcastle so nothing I could do. Plus who else would want two poorly children?? I asked if I should try sending them to school to see how they were and she said no that she would see me next week.
I came off the phone and felt awful!!! I've never asked for time before but seldom are my 2 sick generally!! Also I only work 15 hours in that job but rarely do only 15 hours but take it as part of the job and have already done extra hours this week!! I got really upset as I was so shocked as I want to be off with my kids and they are more important than work. I phoned hubby and he listened to me rant and cry and said there was nothing I could do now anyway I wanted to hand my notice in as I was so miserable!! Then cried on phone to a friend (trying to find out what the policy actually is!!) then cried on phone to my parents as last resort thought I would see if they can drive hee (they live over an hour away!) and I think they were a bit worroed as I was so upset so initially they couldn't come, then mum said she'd change their plans and come later tonight.
Tried to reach my boss/anyone at work and couldn't get through, turns out the boiler is broken so noone there and spoke to a colleague and cried to him on the phone too!! Trying to say I would be in!!! left text message with boss in the end but not heard back from her.
How pathetic am I!!!
So now I'm going into work but feel very unhappy about it and feel bad for my lovely parents driving all the way here as work were mean!! I actually felt bullied for having kids even though I've never taken advantage of that before and work really hard!!
Sorry sorry sorry just thought I'd share with my friends here tho you'll be pleased to hear I have stopped crying but have a headache now!!
I can not believe the attitude of ur boss, ur children are ill you cant help it, u do more hours than ur contract, and at least you had the descency (soz cant spell it right), to let them know. If the children r no better then put them 1st, if you boss calls you into the office when u get back, then make sure you have a witness and if they mention anything about disciplinary etc then call a halt to the meeting as they havent given you notice. If your not well urself from the stress of it, may be worth haveing a chat to gp, going of sick for a few days?
If you do get chance I would suggest looking up on the ACAS website, their independant and they have the full knowledge of the legalities of everything connected to work. Theres also a telephone on the website if you wanted to speak to them.
www.acas.com or just put ACAS in search box and go from there.
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Sorry to hear you have had an absolutely awful day Rusty
you poor thing. If I was God for the day, I would single handedly shut down Microsoft and Sony and ban Xboxs and Playstations. Those things must cause more arguments than anything I know! GRR! have a good sleep xx

Morning all, I'm up far too early this morning although was in bed early so have had my 8 hours!!
I have had a much more less hectic week than the past 2 weeks, although untidy 12 year old has been sent home from school on Monday and Wednesday. Felt sick on Monday and headache yesterday.Sent to her g'parents and then they have phoned me! has been fine after. She does have medical problems but don't think these are related! She has not been unwell before she leaves the house! and says there are no problems at school.....mmmm watching the situation!
Have been very pro-active on Operation OMG it's my party in 2 weeks and I've a house load of folk coming! Got my en suite loo fixed on Monday........out of order for months, was always on my to do list,TICK it's done. Then yesterday ,got my tiny worn patch on the bottom step of stairs re carpeted. Again on the list for ages, TICK it's done too. I want to get my main bathroom re painted, but if it's not done it's no big deal. Have bought paint, it's just a matter of finding time to do it.
Only 9 more sleeps till OH comes home, can't wait to see him. 10 weeks is a long time on your own when you'd rather not be!
i am finishing work slightly early to go to concert at dd2's school, but ever mse have made up my hour over 3 days! LOL! half hour and 2 quarter hours I went in early!
It was our cats first birthday yesterday ,untidy daughter made her a card from us all! and grumpy son gave her some fish from his dinner..........that is very generous!! Our little boy kitten is 6 months old and is due to go for the snip, but I will wait until OH is home and then someone will be in the house when he is back from vets( cat not OH!!)
Okay ,that's you all caught up on my news so far.Haven't been particularly crafty, although have admired my buttons and letters and moved craft stuff from lounge to dining room will need to try and get a start on making thank you cards.......in anticipation!
Enjoy your Thursday, Mx0 -
Morning everyone
Hectic day again for me - my 19 year old cousin has roped me in to doing his CV with him this morning. I have a taster evening in slimming club tonight so going to make a lovely low syn mousse and I'm still waiting for news on my dog. The vet was supposed to ring back with the results but I still haven't heard anything.
I'm back in work tomorrow for a lovely weekend of mornings 6 - 2 great got to get up at 0445am and it kills meI will be shattered all weekend.
Mhagster - Happy Birthday to your cat
Rusty - I hope you are feeling better today. You must be feeling so frustrated with OH at mo. They can be very selfish at times and I think ordering an Xbox in your circumstances is very bad - I don't blame you for downing tools and making a standHe is probably stressed out with the work situation which is understandable but still he shouldn't take it out on your and the children. This month we are having to watch the pennies after OH spent so much on his rugby trip to France - makes me laugh he rolled his eyes when I asked for a family photo of ours to be put on canvas for mothers day (£20 only!!!). The cheek of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
((((HUGS)))) to RustyLittle Miss Chatterbox

Morning!
Hope you feel better this morning furry.
Rusty - take your OH round to see my OH and bang their heads together. I didn't hear anything until 11.15 then he got a 2 second signal on his phone. He text me the room number so I could ring him but not the hotel number so took me half an hour to get hold of him and really wish I'd not bothered. Why do they always have to take it out on us???? He doesn't even know anything yet but coz he doesn't is sure it's bad news.
Get your stuff out the bin and create something beautiful and tell him to shove it where the sun don't shine. I'm going to craft tonight so I can stay out the way as I know if he doesn't get it he will be in a foul mood for a fortnight.
This will be the second time if it does go wrong as his old boss was supposed to promote him before but didn't get round to it and he also virtually promised him this job if he didn't get the first one.
I'm really fed up this morning - can you tell? :rotfl: I don't want to go to work and not sure I'll want to come home either - men .
Hugs to anyone who needs them will try and be more positive later - ok I'm positive I'm peed off :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
