Aww furry. Work are swines. Some people just don't understand that people actually get ill and they hate covering for you then when they have something come up you usually work it!! They do this to me at my work. Our boss relies on me and mum to work and then when we say no she gets really ars*y but when others say no she's fine with them (these are usually the people who are always off at a slight pin !!!!!!! :rotfl:)
Hope you are okay hun.
Shelley- Dogs are family, it's so awful when they get ill as they can't tell you what's wrong. Hope all is well sweetie. Thinkin of you
..xxI am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A0 -

Thought NHS was suppossed to be caring ?;)
Thankyou everyone for grandads wishes, Hes a tough old cookie my grandad.. A true diamond, not one to complain and always says hes ok  I know that others out there all have a friend/family member/themselves who have been effected by this evil disease. So huge hugs to all of them from me too xx
Think supper is burning  so must rush xxfurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Your boss sounds like a right old cow Furrypig - I thought employers were supposed to be family friendly these days:mad: and you are not pathetic you are just a very caring and concienscious person:A. I totally understand how you feel being a mother you want to care for your babies - thank god your parents are so lovely. I take it your boss is not a mother herself then?? Hope you feel better now after a good old cry
Thanks everyone for your kind words about my dog - I'm still patiently waiting for the vet to ring back. I've phoned the vets twice and they said he would ring after surgery with the results but I'm guessing that its too late now for him to ring
Rainmac - I didnt get that much needed snooze either!! Typical !!!
Rusty - have you heard anything about oh's interview?
Jamtart - have you moved house or doing it up? Sorry being nosey just read your previous post

awwww furry sorry to hear you have had a bad time with work. it's so wrong that they should make you feel guilty for wanting/needing to have time off with your sick children. then to make you feel obliged to run around making arrangements and will prob not appreciate it when you do go in tomorrow  hope you are feeling better now and your headache has gone. sending you big hugs!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -
Thanks to everyone for their good wishes - have spoken to OH and doesn't think it went well as his old boss who interviewed him kept interrupting him so he kept losing his place and didn't say half what he wanted
On a better note he got the results for the Prince 2 course he went on a couple of weeks ago and passed :j.
Hugs to everyone who needs them and to furry - i don't know what it is with bosses today - mine asked someone else what i was doing today as I wasn't logged into the phones and said she hoped I wasn't listening to my iPod and slouching in my chair - I do the call stats for the call centre and the only way I can concentrate is by having some background sound to block out the noise of calls - then she asked the same person to check up on me to make sure I was working - I'm so angry mainly because she didn't have the guts to front up to me herself.
I think mum's get a raw deal with family responsibilities - I asked if I could work from home the day we had loads of snow and once again the boss asked someone else where I lived and why i couldn't get in - I wasn't going to risk getting stuck 20 miles from home and needing to pick DD up if the school closed. I've also had problems getting leave when the out of school club is closed so I have no childcare as our nearest relation is 3 hours away.
I suppose working mums are supposed to feel guilty and go the extra nine yards am fed up with it :rotfl:

Paddington - tell your OH not to give up hope about the interview, sometimes it's difficult to tell how well you've done as you're so nervous. Best wishes to you both and hope you find out soon.
Rusty - has your OH heard anything back on his interview? Got my fingers crossed for you
Shelley - glad Harri enjoyed his nursery session, thinking of you and your doggie.
Furrypig - can't believe your boss, let me have her address and I'll go round and give her what for (or take a key to the side of her car), can't believe she spoke to you like that. Hope you're feeling a bit better after talking about it. It's good to talk as they say
Well girls I have some news... I CAN COME ON FRIDAY :T :T :T :T Nervous now as don't know about meeting up and stuff, what do I need to do? I've figured out what train I need to catch. Have you all swapped mobile numbers/decided on a meeting place? I am so excited and so in need of some time away from my normal life, can't waitI also feel very bad as my DS1 is going to the opticians on Friday afternoon for a repeat visit to have drops put in his eyes and have them retested to see if he needs glasses. And his mummy isn't going to be there. Am I awful for wanting some time for me, OH can cope with the opticians I know but feel guilty I won't be there.
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hubbys are always away when you really need them
.
Mine's away in newcastle as well tonight!
I've just sat and made a card for ex FIL which is now on my blog I'm pleased with the layout but not sure about the beach huts but didn't have any other sea type rubber stamps :rotfl:.
Going to get on with my knitting while I wait to hear anything. Glad you're feeling better furry there's a lot to be said for lovely virtual friends.
Hope you all have fun on Friday - I had no hope of getting the time off - someone asked for a half day between now and the end of April today and was turned down even though we were sat doing nowt most of the day.
My post crossed with rainmacs thank you - no you are not a bad mummy - you need to be a person sometimes and your children need to know that they can rely on other people to look after them.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
