paddo - wow love the card! the "beach hut" has potential to be a shed as well! good for mens cards!
furry - i am so sorry for you. something like that would make me try and find a new job. i kind of know how you feel. i took one saturday off work once (i worked only a saturday part time when i was 19 for a shop), i let them down once due to illness as i couldnt get out of bed. I got a right rollocking the week after and told to "decide whether my job there was actually important to me or did I just think i could skive off when I wanted to"...funnily enough the snotty cow received a resignation letter the week after from me telling her to politely stuff her job, and said I'd work the weeks notice. Boo hoo, I was unfortuantely "ill" the week after (as in not remotely ill) for my days notice and she was left in the lurch good style - got her back for being a cow!!!didnt matter as it was just a part time job but must be hard in your proper job with kids
Shelley - renovating house at the moment, hoping to move in by Christmas! !:D
Grandads been doing really well, but he has taken a turn for the worst tonight, think he has a chest infection, got such a shock when I saw him, he was up eating sweets with me last night and couldnt move/talk when I saw him tonight. Horrible horrible disease.I am thinking about work, cards, scrapbookings and anything to take my mind off it!

Cheers Paddington, love your new card by the way it's fab
Thanks rainmac way out of my comfort zone I hate making cards for stinky boys :rotfl:. Hadn't looked at it as a shed jammy have paper with forks and stuff on somewhere (same sludgy colours though!)
have now decided that mothers, husbands, kids and bosses were put on the earth to make the rest of us feel guilty .
And that architects don't know what spiders and dust are (am watching grand designs just in case you thought that was a little too random) :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

is it a stamp padster?
the architect comment was v random!!
what I want to know is who is going to treat the lot of us who aren't going to the NEC to some lovely stuff? I think it should be like a Thrifty Gifty girls shoebox appeal - "we can't make it, so you lucky ones send us some stuff":rotfl:
Loving all the blogs girls! they all look brill by the way!!:T:T:T

Furry - Aww big hugs hun :grouphug: Don't let her upset you
Anyway I thought they had to let you have time off to take care of your children, I think it's unpaid though. Like you say, she was probably just in a bad mood and took it on you. And there's nothing pathetic about having a good cry, I cry loads and I always feel better afterwards
Choccy - sorry to hear about your grandad, hope everything works out ok
Shelley - sorry to hear about your dog, hope he's okay. Animals are part of the family, we thought our hamster had died on xmas eve and I cried my heart out (in fact the little sod had just escaped )
I'm so jealous of you all going to the NEC, i'd love to meet you all. Maybe next year? Do they do it every year?
Thanks again for all the birthday messages. I've had a really nice day. We didn't go for a meal because I really hurt my back at ice skating, didn't fall, it was just the actual skating. So thought it best to leave the meal for another night. OH fell a couple of times and it was soooo funny :rotfl: I'm so mean aren't I? :rotfl: I was being a total wuss actually, I was so scared of falling because I knew how much it would hurt my back, so I stayed near the wall most of the time
When we got back from ice skating, I had two gorgeous bouquets of flowers and some choccies waiting for me. My OH had sent one lot (some gorgeous pink ones in a big gift bag) and my sister and brothers had all paid towards a lovely bunch of white flowers in a vase and the choccies. I wasn't expecting either so a very nice surprise
I can't believe i'm 26  How did that happen?? I still feel like a teenager :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well I shall stop waffling and go and give my lovely OH some attention, he's spoilt me rotten today, now how do I make him be like this everyday?:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

It is a stamp - got it at Harrogate one year - my friend told me I would never use it - so am doing so just to make a point.
Could it be a pizza box appeal coz I don't want the bits of 12 x 12 paper to be all creased :rotfl:. I'm seriously in danger of spending at the mo - always happens when I'm wound up - step away from eBay, craftsuperstore, glitterpot..............
You think I'm random that Kevin guy has just been making walls out of ice cream wafers!!!Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

You can never have too much stash!
Think I've managed to get rid of some stuff out of the garage today - friend's 17 year DS and his 16 year old GF and her 8 month old baby  have just been given a flat so can make a big thing of making space in there and then he won't notice more small guff as OH calls it :rotfl:.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
